On the front page of the New York Times ( www.nytimes.com/ ) in the TimesVideo section is a short video homage to Joan Rivers. In it is a spot from Fashion Police at about 2:05 where she makes some joke about the Kardashians in which she says, "why couldn't she have brought Adam Lambert ..." and I can't understand the rest so I don't know if it is a joke on him as well. Maybe someone else can tell. But there his name is, bold as brass. To paraphrase ..Joan said she doesn't know why Kim brought Adam Lambert and pretended he was her mother....well Kim's mom is a looker but the breasts..??? a dig at Adam with makeup I guess. I think she really loved Adam nevertheless. Joan Rivers adored Adam. She was a family friend and did amazing things for people that no one ever knew about. For example, in 1984 here husband, Edgar Rosenberg, was in UCLA medical center for a coronary bypass at the same time as my father-in-law. Both families ended up together and my mother-in-law and Joan became friends -- similar ages, similar backgrounds, and somewhat similar personalities. She was really stressed because Edgar was not very healthy. With all that, she put on some Mickey Mouse ears and when over to the children's ward and entertained the patients and the staff. In any case, do not confuse her sarcastic bitch stage persona with the real Joan Rivers. They were not the same. And I know she was an Adam fan. I believe she still is -- waves to Joan who I hope is upstairs now making those angels blush. |

OT but Adam link in last sentence - speaking of Joan Rivers, I've always been touched by the work she did for this organization. Kim's mother is Kris Jenner. When Adam had his emo hairstyle there were several articles about he and Kris being look-alikes. Just the typical snark about Adam and make-up and his look. Ugh.  |

I woke up at 3 a.m. and checked my internal "where is Adam" clock. Thought, oh yeah, it's over for now and went back to sleep. Then, when I woke up (at my normal time) my first thought was, "did Adam mention that he was going back into the studio to finish up A3 - I was thinking he actually used that term.

Thanks melliemom. I agree she was fond of him. In 2013 this comparison also hit the Hollywood Life blog. They had an article on celebrity look a likes... saying even Joan Rivers saw the resemblance between Kris Jenner and Adam. She was one of a kind ....and no doubt in my mind she liked Adam. edit: I knew I should look a little harder as I thought somewhere this comparison had been made before Joan... Yup found it .... this comparison was made by TMZ back in 2010
