....."The Great Prognosticator"......clicking over to google to find out the meaning of this word -- had to copy and paste as there are too many letters to learn for this time of the morning.
eta: "to forecast or predict (something future) from present indications or signs; prophesy"
Very fitting!

"he can do anything, all genres. He prob is going to have to pick a lane and stick to it for A3." Can't understand why fans say this. The man can do any genre and enjoys that. Similar to Queen in many ways. Are they Rovk? Pop? Pop/Rock? Don't expect Adam to stay in one lane for A3 because he's already said, "No!" "Genres are passé," most recently in his Twitter party, where he almost seemed annoyed by the question! I hope Adam is signed with WBR because Cavallo seems to be on the same page as Adam in that an artist's vision should never be limited for trying to predict what will be commercially successful! Cavallo's exact words, "It doesn't work." @lambetterer: @adamlambert will the new album be rock genre?” I don't believe in genre. It's passé
I completely agree! I wrote exactly the same thing a few days ago. And quoted the same tweet:)

I am not really knowledgable in this area, but how can an artist put together a cohesive album if it's all over the place? ???

IMO, "cohesive" is more theme. Cohesive has nothing to do with everything being the same. OMG! I would die if that happened! Trespassing had a definite theme to it. But there was funk, Pop, Dance, even some Rock. And while FYE maybe didn't have as clear a theme, it was all Adam. Easily identifiably Adam Lambert! Why would we want to limit Adam if he doesn't want to be limited? IDGI!

Posting this again, since it seemed to get lost last night, with all the pic flailing. But well worth listening to, especially the beginning and what Cavallo says about "trying to predict" what might be a hit record. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxhxKZ0bqmA

I am not really knowledgable in this area, but how can an artist put together a cohesive album if it's all over the place? ??? Cohesion of an album can be achieved in many, many ways. Sticking to one genre is just one of them, not necessarily a bad one, but simply uncharacteristic for Adam. He simply doesn't like it and finds it passé, and probably restricting. Trespassing would have been bulletproof cohesive if it hadn't been for NCOE and, in lesser degree, BTIKM. It has a clean lyrical and sound line progressing from lightness to darkness, from interpersonal to intrapersonal, from upbeat songs to ballads. I don't know any other album with such brilliant and intelligent structure, (again if we disregard those two songs). Its cohesive elements are multileveled and they give a very strong philosophical note to the whole album, and that note elevates the otherwise very autobiographical atmosphere to a more relatable one. Plus, his voice:)))) ETA/// If sticking to one genre is the only way an album achieves cohesion, I pity that artist and that album.

I have noticed a change taking place this week here in Tampa Bay, Florida...Queen radio play!! I normally just listen to the radio when I am in my car. I listen to a variety of music stations, switching constantly until I find a song I like. Well....every time I tune to the our classic rock station, I hear a Queen song. Very rarely heard that before this week. This morning they played 2 in a row!! Then yesterday I tuned in the oldies station, and for the first time, I heard them play a Queen song!! I can only deduct that Queen music is hot right now, because of the QAL tour. I wish I was hearing Adam with Queen, but I am sure all this exposure is helping him, and of course Queen music is getting a big boost.
