[...] Remember before A2, before it was even Trespassing, you made a pseudo-songs album based on the hints we had for the different cuts. You had the pseudo-BTIKM and we both agreed that it was OK (or maybe approaching OK) but it better not be the single .... well, I am firmly convinced that that will not happen this time - no way no how. Every now and again, I find myself chanting A3 A3 A3 in my head. So excited. Yes! That was a great little fake-A2 playlist. Ahh, good times. I've got absolutely nuffin to work with this time around. Grrr, Adam, you're no fun at all (except for, you know, all the ways in which you're so much damn fun all the time). And amen, sistah to your no way no how, except that I think you meant no RCA no how. A3 A3 A3...!!!

Great review! So since I'm new here, what is the consensus on possible new material down the road from QAL? Yay or nay? I, for one, would LOVE a new QAL album. I think it would sound epic. I almost wish they were doing it right now while the iron is hot off of the QAL Tour Part #1, so it could be ready for QAL Tour Part duex. (In my dreams, the 1st single would be entitled "Phoenix Rising" - make it so, Bri !! ) That said, I want A3 as well, so torn person here.

I don't know about a consensus. Seriously, we could probably get into a long nuanced ultimately agree to disagree discussion on whether the toilet paper on the ring should roll sheets to the front or to the back ... so consensus :-S Personally, I am just so ready for A3 that I can barely let it whisper touch my mind without getting excited. I can not wait to see what he is going to do. I think if Adam were more genre specific there would be less anticipation but I am stocked up on wine and ready for the ride. I feet pretty confident that they will perform together again and maybe even contribute to each others separate work, but less confident that there will be a QAL album. I have had this rather odd thought in the back of my mind that Brian and Roger, other than just feedback, have not even broached seriously writing together yet. If it were me, coming from a position of legend, I would not put that much pressure on our collaboration because we all know that songs often just sit in the vault. I can not see Brian and Roger wanting to put Adam in a position of saying, no sorry, it does not fit into the current scheme of things. Being able to sit back on this is one of the advantages of being old and established. Yeah I get that. For being older, those guys, especially Brian, are super busy beyond Queen. Dr. Bri has his hands in like 25 different things at once, so maybe new stuff is not on the horizon. I guess time will tell. If it is meant to be, it will be. Maybe I am just Pollyanna but I can't imagine Brian especially not salivating about a chance to write for a voice he loves and knows so well now. For me, this tour reopened the possibility to create and Queen has such creative spirit. A3 is the potato on the table but I think we might see Dr Bri/Adam new music down the road. Brian has that voice in his head. It is a magical and addictive voice. I don't think he can let it just go off into the sunset when he has a chance to help immortalize it.

But would give it all up for a new Adam single in Late Oct or early Nov!

They would not put out anything mediocre; it just would not be an option. Honestly though, I can wait a bit. Adam needs to finish A3 and see what happens from there. I truly think that whenever they pickup and regroup, no matter in what capacity, the iron will still be hot. This summer will stay fresh in people's minds for a very long time, even in our world where our attention spans are about 3 seconds. They were the talk of the summer and other than McCartney and Beyonce/Jay-Z, were the only tour that people were talking about, at least from my perspective. It left such a positive vibe that people won't forget, or maybe I'm just wishful thinking.

He (and Roger) have such love and respect for Adam and the feeling is mutual. I can't even imagine how amazing new stuff could be. They may be older agewise, but their creative juices seem to be bringing them back to a youthfulness that they probably thought was gone. I'm in awe of all three of them, truly. It brings tears to my eyes. No matter what happens, they are friends forever.

This was brought up elsewhere. I wonder what the budget was for this tour, including set design, lighting, clothing, personnel, etc. It had to have been ridiculous. Mucho props to Jim Beach and everyone else for making it happen. It was ridiculously spectacular.

I had forgotten how poignant Behind the Music was. I was in tears reliving that show. I have no words to even described how I feel about this man and who and what he is. Are there words in the English language to describe this God. I have not run across a human like him before. He has changed the way I think about life, the world and the people in it. It overwhelms me sometimes not to have experienced this man in my youth. I think I would have been a different being. Thanks for running this show again. I needed to see it.

theosgma - is "the potato on the table" the same as: the "bird in the hand" the "devil you know" the "elephant in the room" Never heard the term. I agree they will write together, maybe already have, but I don't think there will be anything official for a few years. I do think they could write and perform some amazing stuff together but I kind of feel some distance may actually be called for. This summer they were Queen with Adam performing their songs, to be another entity they would need to determine how that would be configured. Not a straightforward task, lots of variables. Besides, like lelemaple said, they are busy people with lots of interests. A3 A3 A3 !!!
