Glamberts won't change modern media but Shosh also doesn't change Glamberts. Fact! Fact is they should listen to her and stop the petty berating of every article that comes out. It is counterproductive and has been for a long time. shoshanna stone @shoshannastone · 7m @carly4330 @modestychild @luvsadamsmusic no- if something needs correcting his team will do it.'if not damaging leave it. Boundaries.
This times a jillion! I truly feel for the girl, it must be incredibly frustrating to deal with some of these know it all people. The point Shoshone is suggesting that journalists will just stop covering Adam if every time they do the looneys come out - l think she's overstating it a tad because articles about Adam generate a ton of hits so mostly they will probably put up with the slings and arrows because ca Ching - hits drive ad revenue so articles about him are money in the bank. Mostly it probably makes her job as his PR more difficult cause she has to work through the rubbish noise those fans create to get pubs to take her and whatever the story is seriously. Yay for Idol thing - even though unfortunate circumstances for Keith and Nicole (who was apparently very close to her dad and is quite devastated to lose him so suddenly)

And frankly I do think over time it can make a difference in the reporting by those authors, they are human - that guilty by association thing. Giving the story hits is not the same as raking the author over the coals for the smallest transgression. Even though we know better than to read the comments section, people do and they often form their opinions of the subject of the article from those comments.

I'm not a PR but I've worked with plenty of them and in general the story is the story - they are unlikely to make a positive story negative no matter what fans comments say on previous ones. PR rep feeds them the release and they take it from there. Journalists (unlike bloggers who might go back and read the comments), are usually onto the next thing as soon as their story is filed so doubt they would even know or care that rabid overly sensitive fans are fact checking them in the comments section. Just my opinion - YMMV.

Unfortunately when it comes to anyone associated with Idol you have to deal with the aftermath of the "Claymates" US media especially got a serious bad taste in the mouth from dealing with the loonies in that fandom. IMO Adam worked his ass off turning media perception around on the idea of passionate fans so the Glamberts are generally not viewed with the disdain that the Claymates were but the continued harassing of media online does not look good. So I think Shosh is simply taking the opportunity in the run up to Era 3 to get across to the fanbase as a whole what they should or should not worry about. The fact that Adam favorited those tweets about this very issue shows that this is something they are definitely working on and to me that indicates that they are getting push back from some media concerning fan behavior.
Most of us know better and the extreme crays will never change but there are still those who do really think they are helping and if she can cut down on the number of complaints it's all good. A lot of people actually think they are being helpful when doing these corrections but she is saying it isn't helpful at all no matter how "nicely" done. I think this is good info for us to know.

Glamberts won't change modern media but Shosh also doesn't change Glamberts. Fact! I'm not a huge Shosh fan all the time, personal, not professional, but if I were her I'd be tearing my hair out about some of the psycho fans. I'm one of the first to get aggravated about mistakes, I often read a book or Sunday paper with a red pen in my hand, but come on, both Adam and Shosh asked us to back off. Why is that so hard? But you're right, you can seldom change people, especially the self righteous ones. If only they realized how bad they make the whole fandom, and by association, Adam, look! JMO
