It might have been awkward but it was totally priceless! One of my favorite TV moments. Adam's expression should have gotten an Emmy award I find the evolution of his relationship with Ryan to be very interesting. At one point after WWFM Ryan was a little snarky and seemed to give tough interviews with Adam. Then time when by and their relationship seemed to change. I don't know if its Ryan that changed or what exactly. Maybe new found respect? (Or maybe this is all in my imagination.)
They're not all in your imaginations. I felt them too. Ryan was snarky and did all that, but Adam was and is still the same nice person no matter what.

Whether or not Adam would like to make his affiliation with the show more permanent remains to be seen. TVLine.com notes that last year's official "mentor," Randy Jackson, has yet to be announced as returning for the show's next season. So, would Adam himself want that job, since he did a good job as a guest "boot camp" mentor last year? The answer is -- maybe. The season eight runner-up tells TV Line, "I don't know...I have a lot going on. I’m working on an album. We might go back out on the road with Queen -- so, I don’t know yet. There’s a lot happening. Time is the issue." Even so, Adam says he likes the idea in theory. "I feel like [mentoring and guest judging] is a way to give back," he explains. "I know it sounds corny, but I want to help the contestants with the light bulb that could go off.” The 14th season of American Idol begins in January.

I know its highly unlikely Adam would do this (you'd think they would have signed someone already) but I would just love it!!! Adam's such a great mentor & the publicity just goes without saying. Just these past two days have been so incredible!!!! Randy Jackson's so boring so you just never know. |

I like the jeans, but it looks like he has torn a real hole in that right knee. No fall down! I am not a real jeans person but I gotta say, he is totally hot in that black jacket and those jeans....whew....enough to bring on a flash!! lol
Well.. it all makes sense now why he's not wearing that jeans and that black jacket. If he wore that to Idol auditions, bet many contestants couldn't even do anything.. because their jaws are on the floor.. LOL. And Ryan who has a man crush wouldn't be able to do his job too..

I think Ryan now treats Adam more like a peer in the business rather than just another AI kid.  I agree & I think it started before Glee and QAL! Stampsgal, I wonder if Keith will make it back for the MN auditions also! They are the 22nd & 23rd! Coming up fast! Didn't it start around the time Adam recorded Avicii's song LMD? I vaguely remember how surprised Ryan was that Adam recorded a song on Avicii's album. |

Singer Adam Lambert has returned to the American Idol auditions to fill in for judge Keith Urban as he comforts his wife Nicole Kidman following the death of her father.
The country singer scrapped a planned charity concert performance on Thursday following the death of Dr Anthony Kidman in Singapore, and flew back to their native Australia to be by his wife's side.
And, when Idol auditions began this week in New York, Urban was a no-show.
Instead, Lambert, who was runner-up in the singing competition in 2009, took his place alongside Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr for a photo call at New York Marriott Brooklyn Bridge.
A spokesman for the talent show says, "Adam Lambert will be serving as guest judge at the New York auditions. Our thoughts are with Keith and his family during this difficult time."
