Didn't it start around the time Adam recorded Avicii's song LMD? I vaguely remember how surprised Ryan was that Adam recorded a song on Avicii's album. I thought it started with QAL decided to do the IHR Music Festival. In the pre-IHR interviews with Adam, Ryan seemed to have a very different attitude. Ryan was like that for the Trespassing promo interviews in 2012 -- particularly the one when Adam called the show from his home -- and sounded like he just woke up. Before Glee, before iHR. ETA: Maybe it is because Adam is really a great guest on his show -- always interesting and upbeat and fun.

It woulden't be that bad. Artists in Mainstream Top 40 who are not rappers collob with Rappers all the time. I like Katy Perrys song Dark Horse, really catchy. And Juicy J does a good rap number in the chorus. So I think it could work if Adam incorporates it in one of his songs. Its just a different vocal style, and it is produced and mixed not a big deal to me anyway if their was rap in A3, depending who the collobaration is but that is JMO. I'm not a fan of rap or Eminem, but I remember a song a long time ago that was a collaboration between Eminem and Dido which was pretty good. The song was Stan, where the slang term stan for obsessed music fan originated. There have only been a couple of rap duets where I could tolerate the rap portion of the song. One being JLo's Dance Again which makes me want to get up and do a cha cha ballroom dance. I think Pitbull managed to sync his rapping with the strong cha cha rhythm of the song which is why I can tolerate it in this song. But his rapping in JLo's On the Floor, which has more of a club sound rather than a cha cha beat, just ruins the song for me. The only other rap duets that I have been able to tolerate are some of Shakira's. Usually there is an English version and a Spanish version. I find the Spanish rappers much more tolerable than the English speaking rappers. The Spanish rappers seem to have more of a sing-song quality to their rapping while the English rappers just sound like they are talking too fast. But why even ruin a song with Adam's beautiful vocals by mixing rapping with it???

Well, that shoots down the theory that Adam would be staying in NYC for Live Proud this weekend. But I hear the event is supposed to be "soon", so sounds like he will be going back to NYC soon.

Maybe not meant for our demo, but don't be surprised.
