Is it to early to write to Santa ? Dear Santa I have been mostly good this year (a little bad in between but hey what's a Glambert to do ? ) All I want for Christmas is airfare from Toronto to London to see Queen (and I don't mean Elizabeth) and his Royal Hotness Mr. Adam Lambert. Is that so much to ask ? And Santa Baby...as a 'naughty AND nice' Glambert could I, also, be added to your 'gift list' and given a plane ticket to Europe/UK to see the amazing..on another stratosphere...QAL?!  Everybody.... |

Those screen caps from the WOWOW TV airing yesterday are lovely, but I haven't seen a HD video rip of the 3 song set. Surely somebody in Japan made one from their DVRs. Does anyone have a link to one? I think they are to air a 30 minute set again at a later date. Maybe we'll get something then.
And Santa.....I tend to be naughty, but a nice naughty. #ItsAdamsFault So please add me to your QAL UK gift list.

Well, I'll admit I'm still bummed about January. If I was going to the UK, really wanted to do the family tourist thing this time, with maybe a side trip north to the "Hundred Acre Wood" to see Christopher Robin's old haunts and play Poohsticks on the old bridge. Visit the Peter Pan statue and "Feed the birds, Tup*&@^# a bag", etc. None of which is all that ameniable to snowy and cold conditions.
Plus since I skipped out on visiting family the last time I was in London, I'm out of excuses if I go and don't visit again. And as none of them have seen my daughter yet, the pressure is on to bring her whatever the next possible time...
January is terrible.

Absolutely. I think a project like this DVD/Blu Ray wouldn't be so big as to spoil sales for A3 so it could be at least a concurrent release (within the same quarter). I'm betting that generally QPL team would have a go at assembling a rough cut, with Justin Shirley and Joshua Macrae checking on sound. They would present it to B&R who would show Adam and they would have their input and it would go from there. As for Rainbow and early Queen...I'm right there with you! Listening to Rainbow also makes me realize how much I miss John Deacon....but ah well... The most noticeable missing piece to me is Freddie on piano. I've loved his voice and that is what most talk about but it's the piano being a more "upfront" instrument that's lacking in the post Freddie era. He played it with as much passion as he sang. Also, hearing him again on these songs, I was surprised at how much I missed hearing him.
Is the release doing well numbers wise??
I don't know numbers as I don't follow them much but I think it's doing decently for a 40 year old live album with no real big hits on it |

This Tokyo QAL download is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Oh, the glorious details...each little sweat drop and Melvin hair and the tattoo looks beautiful and the sound is divine, and his smile and his joy! I need more songs....I need more! It's like a professional mini bluray. Even ends with the fireworks, stunning audience views and the Queen logo.
Guess it will wind up on Youtube, but this quality version is much better to keep. Download it people!
