You have an inside contact - go on, confess, Talon. Earlier is always better
Regarding the DVD - do you have any idea what would be a reasonable timeframe for Brian/Roger to
fuss over endlessly produce it given their history? Seems pretty quick, although my gut tells me they have already started. They certainly are inspired at the moment to capitalise on the momentum - it is truly a joy to see them so happy.
A gentleman never kisses and tells
In all seriousness though it is far more likely the DVD would be released just post tour - possibly around the same time as A3...Perhaps DVD March, A3 April.
Brian and Roger can be very meticulous but they also can be rather quick if necessary. I mean you only have to look at QPR.
With QPR, the first time around in 2005, they had a gig in May 2005 and it was released that same September on CD and October on DVD
In 2008 QPR played a gig in the Ukraine in September and it was released in June of 2009.
If they had recorded earlier gigs in the summer, a December/Jan release date would be more likely, however if we go by the more likely Australia date, that's where we say we won't see a DVD til March or so. It's possible that they decide to hold it back til next summer after A3.
All I have talked to have said little about a release date beyond that it was on the table.
>> I pretty much agree on the timing above.
I think that the Q+AL Tour DVD timing will be based upon the Queen release schedule, and the Q+AL Tour schedule with some consideration of Adam's release schedule.
>> I have spent a lot of time trying to track info on this DVD: "I Want I Now"!
Here are the bits I have been able to find out:
1. This is a planned as a "concert film" -- not just a live album. It will have a lot of behind the scenes footage, bonus material and info about the tour. Multiple packages are planned. It will be more elaborate than the Q+PR effort. (very reliable source for this within Queen-world).
2. The release date is not set. It will not have a release date until it is done, approved by Q+AL and accepted by Universal. (reliable source within UMG, also this is the way it is "usually" done.)
3. It will not be released until they are done this tour. (Very reliable Queen source involved in the project during the NA Tour.)
4. The Q+AL tour will NOT end in Milan. (very reliable source for this within Queen-world) (secondary info is promoter info about another Q+AL date that is after Milan -- unconfirmed by me but seems legit)
Odd coincidence? Adam almost certainly has some creative approval rights about this project and the packaging. He was one live concert film release:
Glam Nation Live recorded 31 August 2010 Released 22 March 2011 (just shy of 7 months). Q+AL Live recorded August 26, 2014 Release? If the same schedule would be {drumroll} March 16, 2015.

We have a lot of history on Queen live releases....
There are the live albums, for example, that came out shortly after the recordings. For example:
Live Killers Recorded: January–March 1979 Released: 22 June 1979
Live Magic Recorded: July–August 1986 Released: 1 December 1986
But most of the Queen concert films were delayed releases because Queen predates the widespread use of live video releases. DVD players were first available in 1995.
For example:
At the Beeb Recorded: 5 February & 3 December 1973 Released: 4 December 1989
Live at Wembley '86 Recorded: 12 July 1986 Released: 26 May 1992
Hot Space Tour
Queen on Fire – Live at the Bowl Released on 25 October 2004 in Europe and on 9 November 2004 in the US. Recorded 5 June 1982
We Will Rock You (associated with Queen Rock Montreal) Recorded: 24 & 25 November 1981 Released: 29 October 2007
Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest '86 Recorded: 27 July 1986 Released: 6 November 2012
Queen: Live at the Rainbow '74 Recorded: 13 March 1974 and 20 November 1974 Released: 8 September 2014
We have the Q+PR dates but different label and these are not as elaborate as what was described to me for Q+AL:
Return of the Champions (Queen + Paul Rodgers) Released:18 October 2005 Almost entirely recorded May 2005.
Super Live in Japan (Queen + Paul Rodgers) Recorded 27 October 2005 Released:28 April 2006 (Japan only)

My take -- they could release this as early as January 2015 but too close to QF November release and they will wrelease it after the tour is over, which looks like March-April.
My hope -- it is released 4 weeks before Adam releases his album. March 2015.
My second hope and it would be 'bout time: Queen get a Grammy nomination and WINS their first Grammy for this release.
BEST MUSIC FILM. And, in this category both the artists and the video producers win Grammys -- so Adam would win a Grammy.
