Not trying to brag by any means but I gotta say that this was one of the easiest ticket-buying experiences I've ever had. I guess it helped to set my alarm for 2AM so I was awake and had enough notice (an hour) to go through with it, lol. I'm paying for it now though; I'm so tired! I vividly recall the days of standing in line at May Company back home in OH to get wristbands, if you were lucky, and then wait up to hours in line, in the store, to get tickets. I felt that way about the North American tour. First time, ever, that I didn't upgrade any tickets later!

The extension of Queen + Adam Lambert to Europe feels like another full circle moment. It reminds me when GNT extended to Europe. It's just a much bigger circle. I just love seeing Adam's success.
This tour is happening so much faster than I thought it would. I still want to go to Amsterdam, but January!! I hope it can still happen.

I also did so well on the NA Tour -- I think they did a good job with the fan presales and VIP ticket limits. I am doing better with UK-EU because I have not surrendered to "the fever". I will wait for Adam's solo tour, I will wait for Adam's solo tour, I will wait for Adam's solo tour, I will....ETA: I am hoping for brilliant livestreams and great video!!

Yes, it was MUCH easier than when I bought the US tour tickets when the fan club pre-sales started (except for my card company constantly putting fraud alerts on my account because of the foreign charges). And I had made lots of plans for how to do the US pre-sale but all the plans did not help because I could not get through to a lot of the venues in the first hour or two. I had NO strategy for buying the UK tickets because the 1 hour notice took me by surprise. But maybe that was what made it easier - a lot less people trying to get tickets all at once at the start because they did not yet know about it. And the other great thing is that there were none of the high priced add on VIP merchandise for the regular seats. I didn't feel like they were trying to gouge me! But, I do wish that the UK venues did electronic tickets. The only option they had was for high priced guaranteed 1 week before event delivery by UPS requiring a signature. That is going to be a pain because it is so hard to coordinate a UPS delivery for when I will be home. FedEx would have been easier since the FedEx place is close to me. I just hope the tickets come long before my flights! Next, need to get hotels. Any recommendations from folks who have been to any of the UK venues?

I just peeked at tickets -- I got the captua code "my bad" and realized that I cannot do this. .....weakening by the hour...... <snorts> Are we gonna have a raffle to see who's the closest in guessing the date you cave? Honestly, I really can't take off work in January and February 2015. It is a critical time for me and leaving even for a few days is not workable. I have promised myself that I will be obscene in Summer 2015. I mean really, really QAL NA-level obscene! I am so please so many people from here are getting to go! I want video, pics, streams, I want it all!!!

Gigwise says this about Adam: Adam Lambert: Let's start by addressing the leather-clad elephant in the room - Adam Lambert is not Freddie Mercury. Nor, thankfully, is he pretending to be. In his tenure as Queen's frontman, Lambert has gone all out to capture the spirit of Mercury's flamboyance, energy and powerful voice, without ever becoming an impersonator. For most readers, this would be a very positive statement which would encourage them to go to the concert. For me, not so much. I don't think it is Adam's aim to "capture the spirit of Mercury's flamboyance, energy and powerful voice." Adam has HIS OWN flamboyance, energy and powerful voice which he brings to every performance, Queen or otherwise. But, I am just being prickly, I guess. As for "nominal" frontman, that is laughable. The promo video they officially released for the European tour makes Adam look anything but "nominal." Still, they go on to praise how Brian contributes largely, and I am so happy to see him get the recognition and spotlight he so deserves. He looks like he is enjoying himself more than ever. Go, Brian! If you are going because you like Queen and you have no idea who Adam is then it's a good description of the Queen vibe. On the article they just meant to type phenomenal and they it autocorrected wrong.

OT but here's a video of Janis Joplin (I loved her music) being interviewed by Dick Cavett in 1969. Relating it to Adam she talks about singing coming from inside your soul and that it wasn't about the money but performing. Something I think Adam feels too.

No, she means during summer of 2015 she will go as crazy as she did during the QAL NA tour, for whatever is happening with Adam.
