Welcome to all our new members and lurkers!!! I am so excited (and somewhat jealous) of you all! What you all see on video is not even a small fraction of what it is like to be at the QAL concert in person! I am still looking at the very bad photos on my phone and smiling...

Gigwise says this about Adam: Adam Lambert: Let's start by addressing the leather-clad elephant in the room - Adam Lambert is not Freddie Mercury. Nor, thankfully, is he pretending to be. In his tenure as Queen's frontman, Lambert has gone all out to capture the spirit of Mercury's flamboyance, energy and powerful voice, without ever becoming an impersonator. For most readers, this would be a very positive statement which would encourage them to go to the concert. For me, not so much. I don't think it is Adam's aim to "capture the spirit of Mercury's flamboyance, energy and powerful voice." Adam has HIS OWN flamboyance, energy and powerful voice which he brings to every performance, Queen or otherwise. But, I am just being prickly, I guess. As for "nominal" frontman, that is laughable. The promo video they officially released for the European tour makes Adam look anything but "nominal." Still, they go on to praise how Brian contributes largely, and I am so happy to see him get the recognition and spotlight he so deserves. He looks like he is enjoying himself more than ever. Go, Brian! If you are going because you like Queen and you have no idea who Adam is then it's a good description of the Queen vibe. On the article they just meant to type phenomenal and they it autocorrected wrong. If you read the first two Gigwise reasons to see this concert -- they are parallel. I take the first as a huge compliment to Adam --- Lambert has gone all out to capture the spirit of Mercury's flamboyance, energy and powerful voice, without ever becoming an impersonator. -- that is almost exactly what Adam has said. The second reason is even more interesting to me.... .Brian May taking the spotlight: Adam Lambert may be the band's nominal frontman, but these shows belong to May, and rightly so. Expect to see incredible, consistently energetic guitar playing from May, as well as the occasional ten-minute solo. And we mean occasional, because no-one likes a show-off.While I do not agree that these shows belong to May (and I think only someone who hasn't seen Q+AL 2014 would write this), I do agree that Brian is more outfront in Q+AL than with Queen. I am interested to see what the core Queen fans think of the collaborative dynamic of Q+AL. I think it is a very good thing. But it is really different than Queen was in 70's and 80's.

No, she means during summer of 2015 she will go as crazy as she did during the QAL NA tour, for whatever is happening with Adam. EXACTLY!! I AM PLANNING ON ATTENDING EVERY SINGLE F'ING ADAM THING SUMMER 2015 TO MAKE UP FOR MISSING THIS!! I expect that we will get solo Adam! I hope we get solo Adam! We damn well better get solo Adam or I am putting together a private show.

But, with QAL starting Jan 13 I think now that there will not be a solo Adam NYE show. So, maybe Thanksgiving weekend - but that is much less likely to fit into my family visits plans.

</div> Thatza my credit card, all right..and I'm not even going to QAL overseas. I think it's having a bout of post-euphoric stress.... I was at MSG (it was overseas because I'm living in Finland) and now I have tickets for London and Praque. And my credit card is shuddering

Here's a Vimeo version of the Japan SS WOWOW TV 3 song set. It looks better than the youtube and is downloadable if anybody still wants it. Thank you, thank you so much bamafan! I losed the address of this amazing recording and I have searched two days of the YT version and yesterday I found it but it was removed. Damn You are a treasure bamafan Now I can watch this amazing vimeo in my big TV screen via Apple TV!
