Fixed! Thanks for catching. **** I had to work last night -- very late. So I did not listen to more than a bit of the stream until now. They were not even close to how good he sounded. Just listened to the TALC videos. Two comments: 1. To anyone who posted that "Adam phoned it in" --- that was not phoned in. 2. The guitarist is quite good. I think he was great. Finally, the Trespassing-ABTD mash up needs some arrangement work but I expect we will hear it again. And that could be pretty epic if it was electric. JMHO -- but I think I will avoid live streams in the future.
Boy, I'm with you on this one, Q3! Not dissing our livestreamers as they have provided many an experience for us. But I listened to the TALC vids and it was like day and night. I could hear some of the improv the guitarist was creating and yes, a couple of chords that didn't jive, but this guitar player was excellent. Adam sounded fabulous. Neither Adam nor the guitarist came across that well sound-wise during the stream. JMO. For me, best to wait for vids. Thank you TALC! Also for being with Adam for the first time, short set and Adam does a mashup? I mean, the guy rolled with it. And I thank Moana for the lovely poem about being kind. Posted last night. Good reminder for me. Still think the memes were a lost opportunity. Who goes to the AT&T website unless they know about this project? I'll never figure this campaign. It was lost out of the gate. I wish the memes were showed at the event. It's like the winners were an afterthought. A brief nod and and thank you and on with the show. That's all from this sector.. I had the same experience. Good advice to wait for the video before forming an opinion. It was night and day for me.

Off topic, but related to Adam because he is a P!NK fan
P!NK has stepped out of her powerful pop sound to do a collaborative side project that is folky and indie. It's a collaboration that became an entire album. Did she want an opportunity to explore a different sound for a change? Will these kinds of experimental side projects become more common as artists try things that are not in their usual box / genre? Who knows, but there seems to be more experimentation in some parts of the music biz as they grapple with the changes that have hit the entire industry.
Here is the text of an ad sent by Live Nation. I didn't manage to bring the photo with the text. "Download here" refers to itunes.
Would be amazing if Adam had Live Nation or some similar entity put out an ad for A3 on the day it is released on their extensive email list. Only a few people have those kinds of connections, though.
You+Me new album You+Me has released their debut album, rose ave.
You+Me, the new indie-folk duo featuring pop superstar P!NK & City and Colour's Dallas Green, released their debut album rose ave. today!
Take a listen & download here!
peace&love

Adam's acoustic set at the AT&T Live Proud event was wonderful! Last night, while the stream was on, I just half-listened with a semi-sigh 'cause I was hoping for something a little hipper for that crowd, not the same old songs. I didn't pay close attention and kind of wandered away.
Luckily, the TALC video came soon and I surprised myself by watching it three times in a row! Completely enthralled. And I know I'm going back for more. Adam's so magnetizing just sitting there on a chair; he totally drew me in. I would love more of that stripped-down singing, especially once he releases his new material---after he's performed the songs a few times with a full band and all the bells and whistles.
And maybe if he ever does any other acoustic covers of Queen songs, he could throw in a little "I Was Born to Love You." It's been on repeat from the terrific recordings from Japan. Love it.
And speaking of listening to Queen songs, the new "Let Me In (Your Heart Again)" has become a favorite of mine from the moment I heard it debut on the radio during their interview. It's great.
Thank goodness for a few things like this AT&T event, and the coverage of his brief AI guest judging stint, where we actually have footage of Adam walking and talking, and singing, during this waiting period!

The meme's were created to be shared on the social networks of the people creating them. The instructions for the contest were to "create a meme and share it on your social network". It was about getting people to speak up. If those who entered only sent the meme in to the contest but didn't share or spread it themselves then what is AT&T supposed to do about that? I have yet to see a review from anyone who was there that describes the entire event. Adam's performance was only a part of what went on during the evening. How do we know that the meme's weren't mentioned or talked about or even shown somewhere? That's why I asked, Rihannsu. I was following the twitter stream pretty closely and nothing came up that I saw. Thanks for explaining how this campaign was supposed to work. Not being a social network person, I missed the intent of what AT&T was trying to hone in on. To me, personally, living proud is universal. For all beings. That is why I would have liked to have seen the winning memes at the event. We all can learn from one another. Maybe they were shown? If so, I'm sorry to have missed them. Appreciate your explanation! Now I'll move on..

After Adam did the initial promo and then left for Queen, I sorta got lost in this whole campaign..obviously. The company does seem very committed to LGBT rights. Thanks again for filling in the black holes for me!
