IMHO, YMMV, etc, etc.
Freddie's voice just doesn't work on the movie version. He may be the best frontman in rock, but, the song in the movie is not rock. It is much closer to an operatic aria in structure and power. The sweeping, soaring orchestral score, and the sweeping, panoramic visual scenes overpower Freddie. The song, the arrangement and the setting in the movie demand a voice that can match the orchestral and cinematic scope and dramatic depth. They demand a voice that has the refinement and control to match the score from intimate to immense. They demand a voice like Adam's.
Freddie's voice has more power and control than Brian's and is the better of the two in the song, but (don't kill me for my classically oriented opinion) Brian wrote a song that is intrinsically above and beyond Freddie's considerable prowess as a rock singer. No wonder Brian had tears in his eyes the first time he heard Adam sing the song. It must have matched exactly what he felt and heard in his mind as he watched the movie and wrote the music.

You know, JLo must be the only person that has EVER drawn my attention in a photo from Adam. The woman's legs! Wow. haha! (okay Adam is pretty too...but man o' man - her legs!)

laurieb @libralaurie 8m8 minutes ago 6 Sexiest Trends of L.A. Fashion Week www.laweekly.com/publicspectacle/2014/10/21/6-sexiest-trends-of-la-fashion-week … via @laweekly ADAM LAMBERT MENTION Adam part (plus photo): Adam Lambert and Mathu Andersen at Marco Marco Heads Up
Thanks to Pharrell Williams, nobody seems to need a baseball cap to go with their bling anymore. With duckbills (thankfully) staying in the ballpark right now, wider brimmed, more structured head gear appears to be tops. We noticed several variations of the infamous trooper style hat that the mega-producer wore at the Grammy’s out there, as well as bigger, pizzazzier head pieces at L.A. fashion bashes this week. Basically big hats are tops and will be for a while. You kinda need big balls to work a substantial hat too, and we like that. Adam Lambert, here at the Marco Marco show at Vibiana, worked his cream-colored chapeau like a pro, no?

And while on the topic of creepy Halloween-y stuff, does anyone have an idea how the heck to make a Golden Snitch costume? #leastcrafypersononplanet #whycan'tshewantaneasycostume?? Well, wouldn't it basically be a big round ball with little gold wings on either side? You could use a beach ball or big yoga ball or something as a pattern then attach wings. That's all I got.... (I'm the non-sewer in a family with an amazing seamstress and a professional clothing designer--I knit and do needlework--I hate sewing and it hates me). You could probably even hot glue gun the whole thing together!

Quiet day. Popped in to see if anything was going on and saw the discussion on WWTLF. I agree, iheart 2013 ranks as one of the top performances of this song, for me. I still go back and play this all the time. Had to listen to it again!!
