Since it is VETERANS DAY, I would like to share a story about someone I met recently in the most unusual way . . . . It was getting close to 8 pm on a Sunday night in August and my son and I had just finished dinner. The doorbell rang and I saw this beautiful young woman. I asked her through the door what she wanted. She told me that she was looking for a house and saw the FOR SALE sign and asked if she could look around. I told her to call her agent and make an appointment. Well she did but could not get hold of him so decided to ring the doorbell. I hesitated, saw that she looked harmless so I let her in. As soon as she came in, she said, "I smell adobo. You must be Filipino!" Turned out her parents were both Filipinos but she was born and raised in SanFran. Long story short, she loved the house, I fed her dinner, even spoke to her Mom via skype. She is a gunner with the Military Police, enlisted right after high school and served in Afghanistan fighting the Talibans for the last 9 years. She has been wounded 3 times, the last time so bad she had to be airlifted to Germany due to brain trauma. She is in the Wounded Warrior program and still getting medical treatment. She will most likely get a medical discharge but they won't release her because she is still struggling with PTSD, physical, emotional and mental issues. How is this related to Adam? Well, she is an aspiring singer-songwriter and has a beautiful voice. She wants to use her music to help her wounded comrades and their families once she is out of the military. She desperately wants to be reunited with her 2 young boys (ages 6 and 3 who are being raised by her mom). Her estranged husband, a minor league football player in Sacramento suffered brain injury during practice last April and is 95% brain dead. This poor girl has seen and experienced more life and death situations in her 27 years than most of us will ever see in our lifetime. And yet she remains strong in her faith and passion to help. She has 2 songs on itunes which she wrote herself under her moniker JessLove. Take a listen ( Celebrate and Uneasily Broken). She is hoping to get a lot of hits and maybe it will catch the attention of someone in the music industry. She is waiting for her big break. She has a beautiful voice and sang live for me and my son. No, she did not buy the house but I found a wonderful new friend. Thank you Jess and to all our military for your service to our country so that we can enjoy freedom. Go Jess and may God bless you always. What an amazing story, mayumi. Thank you for sharing it and Jess' music, particularly on Veterans' Day.

interesting... Maybe this article got Adam to thinking... the comment section is so interesting.. one comment said if it was a gay man the gay guys wouldn't find him sexy.. they are impressed because he's not gay. There is that article but also this one: attitude.co.uk/nick-jonas-on-gay-fans-after-a-few-drinks-anything-can-happen/ and I would imagine many more, he is everywhere at the moment. I can only imagine how hurtful it must be to see so many of your community embrace someone unattainable & frankly no more talented and yet reject you. I guess that is just the nature of the world. Makes my head spin a bit, I don't know what to think. And it needs to be said that we, me included, tossed the NJonas name out there not Adam. Adam never called names or stated an opinion on the issue.

Just got back here and see I missed Adam's twitter party! PH.... Now I need to make dinner. Metal Glambert ♂ @metalempress 10m10 minutes ago @adamlambert I love when you're not afraid to say what's on your mind. Something Freddie Mercury wasn't afraid to do.
