SophieB posted a Youtube earlier from last year's NYE concert with Gary Barlow. That was a fan video. Here's one by one of his quests...Alfie Boe....singing Dont Stop Me Now....how appropriate...LOL.....taken from the BBC1 broadcast. It'll give you an idea of the filiming for BBC1.
I'm so excited that we can hopefully watch a stream. As far at the TV broadcast part.....I know lots of us here get BBCAmerica, which I have never watched. Is there any chance that it will be broadcast here either live or delayed on BBCAmerica? Their current line up looks like crappy old US TV shows.

EXPOSUREI'm so thrilled for all the fans.....we'll all get to get it either on livestream or maybe on BBC1 TV. I think I get BBC America...unsure. So many of us aren't able to go to NYE events....so this is wonderful for us! And we'll get a HD rip to keep while we wait on a possible DVD later. Yes, but Queen doesn't need exposure! They are getting a huge fee for this! All from television & advertiser dollars! Right-o!!! It's not about the money, it's the venue, it's the european exposure via BBC1, and it's about to go down, with folks worldwide trying to get those tickets, for the concerts. We fans are the lucky ducks, getting the chance to watch the world go wild over Adam Lambert and Queen. God bless Queen, to wait for over 20 years after the pain of losing Freddie and here came Adam. Westminster is huge on so many levels and such a historical site. Just WOW. |

Last night Queen + Adam Lambert took to The X Factor stage to perform Somebody To Love featuring the remaining acts in the singing competition. The performance came hot-on-the-heels of the news that new dates had been added to Queen + Adam Lambert’s upcoming UK tour. Adam took on the lead vocal duties putting his own twist on the classic with Queen. They were joined towards the end by Fleur East, Ben Haenow, Lauren Platt, Stereo Kicks and Andrea Faustini to sing the final part of the song. This morning it was announced that Queen + Adam Lambert will be performing for a BBC One New Year’s Eve special meaning fans can bring in the New Year with them. Tickets go on-sale for the event tomorrow.

POSTED BY DIJEIZASIN ON DECEMBER 1, 2014 Neither acts known for their subtlety, Queen and Adam Lambert have announced they will be performing a special New Year’s Eve concert that will be broadcast live from Big Ben [technically the Palace of Westminster] on BBC One this New Year’s Eve. It’s been appropriately called “‘Queen & Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live”, and is quite the win-win for everyone involved, in that it puts ‘Queen + Adam Lambert’ quite firmly on the UK map (preparing us for new Queen music perhaps?), and the BBC have something guaranteed to be good on the air. The announcement comes hot off the heels of a stellar X Factor performance by Queen and Adam last night.(performance vid here)The one-off concert will start around 11pm on New Year’s Eve, temporarily stop for a bit whilst a few fireworks go off at midnight, then resume. Tickets to the concert will be available here from 9am tomorrow, but they’re ruddy expensive, so you’re probably better off watching it all at home. And even if you don’t particularly rate Queen, it’s all incredible promo for Adam who is gearing up the release of his 3rd album next year!

I was pleasantly surprised this morning by the New Years Eve announcement.......I did not think the news would be about A3 simply because that announcement would not be made while Adam was in England and also the timing was wrong. I totally agree the more high profile gigs Adam's is involved and the more exposure he receives the better situated he will be when the time finally comes. I also think that A3 will be more Rock influenced than Pop oriented even with Max Martin as one of the producers. With all due respect........I really do love and appreciate both Brian and Roger does anyone else feel that the main attraction has become Adam? Adam seems to have taken over centre stage.....literally. BTW I felt that it was totally disrespectful not to ask Roger a question last night. Finally, I hope the guys do an Elvis cover and maybe an Adam song or two on NYE. I watched Roger after the short talk with Brian and Adam, and I don't know if it's my imagination, but Roger seems a little annoyed or something when the host ends that segment without asking him a question too.. |
