The Real Wizard is a friend of mine...he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable...He actually doesn't really like Adam too much either BUT I look to him as an example of how an anti-Adam Queen fan should act. He is very graceful....He did enjoy the gig he saw... Well of course he doesn't like Adam because he posts on a Queen site and we have all been made only too aware that no Queen fan could possibly endorse Adam....... However, what is refreshing is that he does manage to make reasonable comments without appearing at all passive aggressive I post on a Queen site or two and I enjoy Adam...I don't bother endorsing because for the most part people on a site already have their mind made up.

One of my all time fav Queen sites...although the owner does hate Adam lol...He was very slow to update the QAL stuff before...he is going to go to a few of the European gigs despite his dislike of Adam so maybe it'll change his mind - though I doubt it. If I felt that way I would not spend my money. I would just listen to my cd's. Different strokes for different folks I guess. It's not too hard . He enjoys seeing Brian play anything. I don't think he hates Adam or anything....he just wouldn't be his choice. He loves B&R and loves the music so it's an easy choice to go

No matter how much anyone dislikes Adam, it has to be obvious to any reasonable Queen diehard, that this tour is bringing so much joy to Brian and Roger and they are playing better than ever! And both men have said, without Adam, this would not be happening!

But to HATE him because of it? Seriously, where does that even come from. Says a lot about that person and none of it is good. So sad, makes my heart hurt. :-/

I'm fortunate that my husband and kids will go see Adam with me and have all enjoyed the shows - from Glamnation to Pittsburgh Pride to QAL. But it was the QAL concerts that really drew my spouse in more - he's downloaded Queen Forever and Adam's music and spotify and said he'd go to London for NYE if I wanted (this after he passed on 2012 London QAL as he was not interested in going to London; had nothing to do with the music). I would love to go for NYE but have a very ill parent and does not seem right to plan such a trip right now. Will need to live for the livestream.

"Do-over" - too funny. I get a lot of "looks" from my dh and we laugh about it. He didn't go to QAL and I wasn't going to force the issue. TBH I only wish he'd take an interest so that I'd have someone at the concerts to go and get me my gin and tonics. I have not yet attempted to take my husband to see Adam or QAL live. He knows how I feel about Adam, he sees the photo galleries I have saved on my ipad and computer, he sees me streaming the videos, he knows I need not be disturbed when I'm 'Berting'. I did take two of his friends to the second QAL show in Toronto. They were both die hard Queen fans (as I have been for many years), but they were not familiar with Adam. I remember having lunch with them the day before the concert and explaining to them how amazing he is and what to expect at the concert. I have to admit I was nervous as we sat in our seats waiting for the show to start - wondering how they would react. I glanced at them a couple of times during the show and knew they were enjoying it, but as we were leaving the show, my husbands buddy had a grin on his face a mile wide and leaned over and said "BTW you let us know when Adam goes on tour because we're going with you". I was sooooooo happy ! I have been a devoted Adam fan since his audition on Idol, and I have been a Queen fan since I was a teenager. Having them together is like my chocolate and peanut butter colliding !!!!!! I'm enjoying this ride so much. So many great things for Adam right now - he puts a smile on my face every single day. At QAL I had people I didn't know on my left and right. The mother/daughter team on the right were die-hard Queen fans. They had seen QPR and the Tribute show. They were very excited to see Brian and Roger. The girls to my left were Adam fans. When Adam came down the catwalk for the first time all glittery and golden I was beside myself -- you know, seeing him for real and all that. The Adam fan directly to my left was as awestruck as me and we just grabbed each other and jumped up and down. At the end of the night, the girls to the right grabbed me and we jumped up and down because they loved Adam and were so glad they had come. It really does make a difference when you are surrounded by people that are having a great time.

Though he then goes on to say that as a Queen fan he still will attend a few shows. Wonder if he ever saw him live.

I can understand disliking Adams vocal ability. Or his role with Queen. But dont get ppl who claim to hate or dislike Adam. When theirs really no justifiable reasons to hate Adam, that's just petty. Most of the ppl who trash Adam prob dont have anything to do with Adam or his talent. But ppls own insecurities and hang ups. Adams polarizing, shocking he has suspended ppls beleif systems. Ppl dont like something they dont understand. Even the ones who claim to be informed, dont really get it. No one is entitled to an opinion, everyone is entitled to an informed opinion. I get most ppls image of Queen is associated with Freddie.
But Freddie in his prime I cant see going over well currently. Adams theatrical style is more current if that makes sense. Could you imagine Brian playing on Freddies piano? Lol. No these days much more looser. Queen have also had 11 lead singers since his death. Well Adam ever come near Freddie? No. Not because hes not good enough. Just times have changed. Adam has filled the void. It took 25 odd years, someone has finnally done it, to me thats one of the biggest acheivements in music history. Revitalizing a classic band. Anyone else other then Adam, it would seem ludricrous even on the surface. A American Idol guy who sings pop is going to fill in for arguably the greatest performer of all time, and actually kick it in the teeth and giggle? Unfathonable. But its Adam Lambert, the only one their well ever be.
