What happens to a singer with a stupendous voice who does NOT take care of it, who does not sing with good technique, who abuses and overuses the voice? This raw vocal of Mariah from the Christmas show yesterday is painful to listen to at times. So sad. www.youtube.com/watch?v=61DI6fOdeUcJust one more reason I am thrilled that Adam knows how to sing correctly to avoid damage to his voice, and seemingly is meticulous about taking care of that wonderful instrument. |

The Melvin Joke could very well be the beginning. We should archive it just in case further research does not reveal more. It seems like I remember a specific conversation somewhere about giving it a name. Of course, sometimes I have to look down during the day to see what I'm wearing because I can't remember what I put on.

I think she sounds sick (as in hoarse). She sounds shouty and not once makes it into her head voice. She tried a few times, but couldn't make the transition. She may have other issues too--I don't know much about her. |
