I am struck by how many say they were never a fan, let alone Stan of anyone before Adam. I don't understand it but we seem to be linked to each other and dedicated to Adam's rightful claim to stardom. It is an amazing link between all of us. It really is amazing! I've always loved music but never followed an artist like this even when I was a teenager. I've given up trying to understand it and I now just enjoy every minute of the ride!!

I remember that article few years ago. Speculating if Adam Lambert is the next Michael Jackson. While Adam has obviously not reached his potential. Lookng at the Grammy winners. And Pharell saying working with Adam Lambert helped shaped his sound. Trespassing was ground breaking in a way. So underrated. Even look at Sam Smith reaping awards while Adam gets nothing. I guess Adam is polarizing. Hes like a hurricane. But im very confident A3 well be his big break.

Count me in as one of those that never stanned anyone before Adam. Even as a young teen, when my cousin was nuts over Mike Nesmith from the Monkees -- I thought it was a bit dumb. I pretended to like Davy Jones. I had watched AI for many seasons and ... nothing. I am usually pretty practical. Adam crashed into my life and I have no idea why he struck such a chord. Like Momtomany said -- it must be in the DNA! And I am sad to say I am one of those whose husbands really don't get it. Oh well, I met all you kindred folk and life is good.

Me too,Adam is the first I have stanned (love that word) I remember a cousin trying to get me to watch Elvis on Tv, and I was too busy reading to bother. Dh likes Adam ok, but really doesn't want to go to any more concerts. Seems he doesn't hear well in the upper resister so some of Adam's notes are static to him. He does support me however, even to the point of making the suggestion we drive up to LA and visit Cresent. Boy did he earn some huge points!

Although I went to a few of the QAL shows and thoroughly enjoyed them, I have to say I am really, really, really tired of the baggage that this collaboration brings. So through with the damning-with-faint-praise hypocrisy. So, so, so over it all. I just wanna be able to drool over that fucking cowlick-cum-pompadour realness without my mellow being harshed.

"In a Vine that went viral over the weekend, we see two fascinating phenomenons of contemporary pop-stardom. One, we see Liam Payne of One Direction deftly participating in the practice that seems to have completely replaced signing autographs — selfies. And, two, we see how exhausting it is. Just look at his face between obligatory smiles. Some cultures fear photography, believing it steals your soul. From this clip, it seems they might be right…" *Vine video was here in the original article, and well, it appears I don't know how to post a vine, so here is the source:

Someone up thread, maybe Q3, said she would like to see Adam sing a holiday song on the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting show some year. Tonight's show was so bad! IDK! :( It was not that good. The only memorable performance was Mariah Carey and that was because it was so not good. And when I think of Christmas, the first person that comes to mind is Darius Rucker and the perfect song for the former pop-singer, now country artist is "White Christmas". Or perhaps the low point was LeAnn Rimes' sexifying ‘I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas’. Yes, I watched wishing they had called up Mr. Lambert and just had him sing all the songs -- and do the duet with Perry Como.

I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome in yesterday's thread. Now seems like the opportune moment to ask a potentially stupid question that I've been curious about for the past few months: When/where did the term "Melvin" originate from? LOL..... I have no idea who actually coined the term Melvin!! (sounds like something chunkeymonkey came up with!) It's been around for a couple of years now! As always, late to the party, but re. "Melvin" I found this post from May 2013 on another Adam fan site! (by luval at 6.46 p.m.) www.adamlambertlive.org/2013/may-2013-chat/comment-page-45Of course I don't know if a porn star with a similar beard was the real reason how "Melvin" got his name?! ??? LOL!!!
