Well, after joking yesterday about wonder how many Glamberts will be going to England twice from the US in January....I see 2 on my little Twitter feed openly admitting they are going. And these weren't the 2 I had in mind. LOL. I seriously thought about it! Even DMed Sophie about a ticket. But when i checked travel days, the only days with reasonable airfare were Dec. 28th, 29th, and Jan 1st. Which would give me 2 1/2 days in London. And since I have never been, seemed like not enough time to see a city that is on my bucket list!

Just want to say.....I'm getting dizzy reading all the messages about Adam and what his career path will be, whether QAL was the right road to take, suppositions about his next album, apprehensions about him ever equaling the fame and legacies of Elvis,MJ etc, etc and ad infinitum..... All I know is this: I live in North County, San Diego, and every week I take the bus to downtown San Diego to have lunch with my daughter and volunteer in my grandchildrens'classrooms. I look out the window as I ride on the bus and pass the freeway signs that say Rancho Penasquitos, {the city where Adam grew up and lived in till he was 18,} and Mount Carmel,{the high school Adam attended.} I have the biggest grin on my face every time I see those signs,{ I know, fellow passengers must think I'm a bit CUCKOO !} and I think to myself----Once upon a time, a darling little boy went to school here, grew up here performing in local theaters, had dreams of being a singer which he insisted, would make him "a happy man if I could do this for the rest of my life." And now, here he is ,doing exactly that, and if Adam is happy in whatever choices he makes,as he sings his heart out for the masses, I am thrilled for him and will be thankful always, for the joy he has brought into my life-and for others all over the world.Thank you, Adam, from the bottom of my heart. What she said so beautifully.

QUEEN AND ADAM LAMBERT SEE 2014 OUT IN STYLE WITH A LONDON GIG FOR THE BBC
Becky Fuller | December 2, 2014 Credit: The Hollywood ReporterQueen and Adam Lambert appeared on The X Factor last Sunday, and absolutely killed it. In case you missed it, or if, like me, you need to watch it several hundred times, here it is again. (vid here) After viewing, and sitting in stunned amazement for awhile at the quality of Adam’s vocals, a discussion ensued between Mr 4YE and me, in which we smugly congratulated ourselves on having gotten tickets for their tour in January, and wondered why Adam Lambert was not a renowned international rock god of the highest order. Seriously, this guy needs ALL the awards and more. Obviously he is famous, and has given us some truly great albums and singles, but Lambert deserves so much more commercial success. He has one of the best singing voices I have ever heard. I just don’t think many people realise exactly how talented he is, but I hope that he will now start to gain more recognition here in the UK as he fronts Queen for their tour early next year. Some may think that Adam Lambert is just a touch too risqué for the conservative faction of the US, but the UK and Australia tend to embrace the quirky and the outlandish a little more. Possibly a valid point, as the Brits are catching on, it seems. Lambert’s performance with Queen was widely talked about after The X Factor and their tour is a massive sell out; though whether that is die hard Queen fans, Adam Lambert fans or a mixture of both is hard to tell. Added to that is the news that Queen and Adam Lambert have been asked to front the BBC New Year’s celebrations this year in the form of a concert at Central Hall in Westminster. “Words can’t describe how excited I am,” said Lambert in a press release. “We are going to kick off 2015 in style.” Queen drummer Roger Taylor promised fans “a great night,” adding, “I never imagined we would be around to usher in the year of 2015. What a thrill!” The performance will be live streamed, though it’s not yet clear whether that streaming will be internationally as well. Either way, you can be sure you’ll get to see it at some point, even if it’s after the event. Lambert will also be returning to his roots when he appears in the new series of American Idol in the US, standing in as a judge for Keith Urban who took time out following the death of his Father-in-law. To be honest, I’m still miffed he didn’t win when he appeared in 2009, as he was easily my favourite. I am sincerely hoping 2015 will prove to be a great year for Adam, both with and without Queen. He is easily the best front man Queen have had since the late, great Freddie Mercury, and I am sure Brian May and Roger Taylor would agree with me.

There was no reasonable airfare from here....at all. Almost $2,000 yikes. You're right.....2 days in January to see everything...is not enough. We were there 10 days in July 2012 and saw a lot, but not nearly all. You need to hop on a plane with lelemaple and see 6 shows over about 2 weeks. hehe.....or go over for the last 3 shows and stay a few extra days. Just sayin!
