Wednesday - Check in Day
Ok, I'm down 1 which is good. The bad part is that I was down 3. Over the weekend something happened mentally and I just wasn't interested in those bad food habits which are my downfall. Didn't even feel like them, resistance was easy, I felt great, the pounds just went away. Then I had a little bout of tummy trouble when it didn't like something I ate and I couldn't eat much of anything for a day. Well that changed the paradigm again and my brain said, wheeeeee and back to my old habits I went. So now I have to find that mental outlook again which almost felt like I had been hypnotized.
I did try hypnosis one time but I was tired that day and kept falling asleep. I didn't like the process much, I didn't go to one that advertises on tv but to a different local one that did a groupon coupon. They asked all these questions about what foods did I need to avoid and what habits I needed to break. It was just a one time thing and I think that Positive Changes which is the TV advertiser does more of a series so you can think about what is working each week.
Anybody else tried hypnosis?

I was only down a half but again I know why. Good news is I am back exercising which should help with those extra calories I have been allowing myself.
I have never tried hypnosis- but I think it would be good.

Totally missed check-in last week as I had the leave the house at 6:30 am for a super early medical appointment so I completely forgot about weighing in. Not that I lost any weight last week I'm sure, but I'm finally getting back to that mindset I had last year, and doing better with sticking to a plan most days. So I am down 1.6 lbs. since 2 weeks ago, so hope to keep it going! It's been gorgeous spring like weather here, so got in 4 1/2 walks this past week, and doing a few stretches as well, so the exercise part has been good. Nocturnal, very sorry to hear about your situation, so sending you a big hug! Sounds like you have a great attitude which can only help. It's a struggle isn't it, but it sure helps to have everyone's support here. Thank you!

Yay! Was down 2 lbs. this morning. On the budgeting front I have made it through almost all the month and made my rent without having to steal the $11.55 I have in my Adam Lambert category. LOL

I have done awful. I am not binging but I am eating all the wrong things. I really should never eat bread of any kind. I have been hooked on that pumpernickel/rye combo, and I slip a piece in the toaster every time I go into the kitchen. Now I am depressed because I am so foolish when I know better. What a damn cross to bear your whole life - weight and trying to keep it off.
Damn, damn, damn.

oh irish, you're me. Different kind of bread and I unfortunately like Nutella on it. I've taken to cutting it in fourths, freezing it, and putting it out in the garage. It still gives out a siren call to me. I pretty much can't even allow myself one piece or all will power goes straight out the window.
Maybe we should make like Glee and only have it as part of a cucumber sandwich?

LOL Haha!! We know what is important!!!! :D Most definitely. One of the things I like about YNAB is that they emphasize that you should create categories for the things you love and are passionate about, not just the boring bills. I have my Adam Lambert category and although it's not going to have very much going in to it right now my challenge is to get by without having to WAM (whack a mole) the money out of it to cover something else.

It's March! Check in Day! -
Oh I was so happy Monday, down another 2. But my cold hit me hardddddd. And you know the adage, feed a cold and starve a fever?
And by today that leads to not the results this thread is looking for.
I'm in the third major day of this sucker. yuck.
