Sorry to hear you're sick Jablea! That usually throws everything out the window as far as planning to eat right!
I see several of you are into bread, and that's one of my issues too. I LOVE bread, but am trying to cut back on it, so just having 1 slice in the morning and 1 at lunch, rather than 2 both times. I'm amazed that I lost 2.4 lbs. this week, considering there were 2 birthday cakes this weekend and they gave us leftovers to take home! And they were so good, so I did thoroughly enjoy it! So 2.4 is encouraging, so will try to keep going in that direction. Missed one walk last week, so just had 2 walks, but did go again this morning. The weather has been very springlike here, although when we go, we go just before 8 am, and it's been frosty then. I'm seriously looking at a piece of equipment that will allow me to walk when I can't go out because of weather, or when I get busier with my business and then my schedule won't allow me to go out.
Hope you're all hanging in there!

I'm up a pound this week, too. Really struggling with binge eating at night and haven't exercised much this week. Need to do something to get me out of this bad mood. Unfortunately just don't feel like cooking, either. Working on it!!! :-/

Stayed the same this week.......it's my own fault though. I'm just worried that I mght become complacent and not achieve my goal weight. I have about 10 pounds to go.
I'm wishing for some better weather so that I can walk outside....I have a treadmill but I prefer the outdoors.
Stardust, I too have difficulty in the evenings and part of the problem is that we have a very early supper and by 9:00pm I'm hungry again. So I have 2 large cheddar rice cakes with some low fat cheese and some mini tomatoes, red peppers and a small cucumber .......this snack fills me up and also satisfies my cravings. I think cutting out chips and salted nuts has been one of the major reasons I have lost about 17 lbs so far. I think If you find a snack that is satisfying to you but is not high in calories that will help with your cravings.
Jablea...hope you feel better soon!

It's March! Check in Day! -
Oh I was so happy Monday, down another 2. But my cold hit me hardddddd. And you know the adage, feed a cold and starve a fever? And by today that leads to not the results this thread is looking for. I'm in the third major day of this sucker. yuck. Feel better soon. I can sympathize. Had it and it just plain sucks.

I'm starting over. I am at the weight I started at weeks ago. It is a curse of a lifetime (having to watch your weight every single day). I have done it before, I suppose I will do it again eventually. It is sometimes very depressing. See you next week.

I'm almost feeling normal again even went to the store but I know my weight's still up from "feed the cold" syndrome. Back to doing my hip and knee exercises, I can tell when I slack off on those. We've got good weather so walking the dogs and doing a little work outside. Trouble finding crunchy snacks, I think I need to bake some kale.
Oh, interrupting this stream of consciousness to say it's Wednesday - Check in Day

Glad to hear you're feeling better Jablea!
It's a struggle some weeks, isn't it! I only went down .2 lbs this week, but at least it wasn't up, and I did have a couple of pig-out days where I ate too much chocolate. Other than that I'm doing ok. Not as good as I should, but not bad either. Did get out for a walk 4 times, but it's raining this morning so hopefully it will clear up so i can go later. Sending you all positive vibes to stick to it!

Hi Guys!! Hang in there!! I finally managed to lose 2 lbs but it was a struggle. Yes, the weight issue has been a struggle all my life, too. But, I can blame a lot of the struggle on so-called experts that told us the wrong things! Don't eat fats, oils, eggs, meat - eat carbs. Over use of antibiotics that surely fattened us up just like it does for chickens and cows. So much hidden sugar and salt in processed foods. No wonder we struggle with this.
