Ugh!! I have remained the same this week, which isn't too bad considering I had several mini eating binges. On with the show!!! I never promised to be perfect!!!

My husband and I are in our sixth week of this diet. We were suppose to have fish last night but he begged me to have pizza. I didn't want to do it, of course, but he made me. (Is this a cop out or what?). Anyway I was one pound heavier this morning.
Onward and upward I go. I hope to have better news next week. It is my birthday week so it may be touch and go again. The older I get, the harder it is to resist.

Sounds like we all had some challenges this past week. Onward and upward. I like that I have this thread to check in with and be accountable to

I guess my challenge was remembering to get on the scale. You know I weigh myself every day but this morning I completely forgot. Oh well, going by yesterday's weight I would have been slightly up from last week. Tomorrow will probably be up higher as we went to Cici's pizza tonight which resulted in my going over my calories for the day by at least double. LOL
On the other hand budgeting is still going well. :D

I totally forgot to check in last week and yesterday was crazy busy so here I am a day late. I'm down about 1.5 in the last 2 weeks but it's gets a bit discouraging when the lose is so gradual. But the fact that I can now wear many of my smaller clothes is wonderful. As someone mentioned the older one get the more difficult this weight thing becomes.
The daily weigh in and recording is the only thing keeping me on track and I know this will be even more important when I reach my goal weight. I have about 10 pounds to go but if I can lose a bit more that would be great. The other bad part about losing weight when you're older is the wrinkles which appear........so I will just have to just forget about the wrinkles and know that I have better health. I think I mentioned before that my determination to lose weight started with the death of two friends and the cancer diagnoses of two others. I have jokingly always said that I want to live to be 100...... my mother is currently 95 and health wise and looks wise she is doing incredibly well even her dementia is bearable. She can't remember a thing but she still possesses she sweet and loving personality. Until next week good luck folks. csimms4.......hope you feel better soon!

Hello, This is my better late than never post ! I was just diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, and I am having surgery mid March. Trying to lose 10 pounds and be more active before the surgery. I haven't felt well for about 6 months and its winter so I haven't been very active. Anyway, I want to build my strength back up, and make some better food choices. I will check in on Wednesday, to see if I have lost anything since last weeks DC appt. Loving the Adam workout !

Nocturnal, Big hugs from me too. Thyroid issues run in my family. Hopefully you'll get it out, get new drugs, and be all back on track.

Luckily Thyroid cancer is generally very treatable and you should feel better soon. A positive attitude is a big help in dealing with cancer. Calisthenics may be something you can do inside and when you feel like it. Sending positive thoughts and prayers.
