I don't think these estimates are very accurate. Carrie is not touring but has a GH album and is working on her next album plus she earns a lot of catalog album and track royalties. I think she will have a bigger year. It all depends on when A3 is releases and how big it is. However, Carrie is pregnant so she may take some time off to spend it at home with her new baby. Agree! I don't think either Carrie or Kelly will have tour $$ in the next Forbes list. Adam won't have solo tour $$ either, but he will have all of the QAL estimates & initial album release money. Kelly will have a new album. But, I'd still say, he being #1 has a very good chance.

</img> I guess record sales are more in the picture than I expected. Overall for a "working on a record " year its pretty awesome! And I think it might be only 2 gigs. Pretty sure Forbles does not include private gigs. So the only gigs I can remember are Biloxi and Winstar. Right? Wouldn't he have gotten paid for the SD Fair gig, Orlando at Universal Studios (June 29th), Paso Robles, Bleaulive in Miami in addition to Biloxi and Winstar from July 2013 thru end of 2013? And Glee as well.

Yes these all would be in there. Plus royalties from his music and Avicii colaboration and appearance fees. I think that be prob made more than the estimate.

I was there!! The 2 private gigs are most likely not included, definitely the LMD collab probably not included, also not his ATT "endorsement!" Probably more like 3 million or a bit more.

Yup, agreed, my hope prediction as well. And furthermore, independent on how this ranking for the first three slots will shake out, this next Forbes statistic will be the first one that will have a clear trio at the front (my guess: AL, CU, KC, in this order) all roughly in the 10+ mil ballpark and then a big break, before the next 'also earning more than 1 million bucks' - group, where I suspect we will find, SMcCreery, JHudson, KPickler, KMcPhee, CDaughtry, PPhillips, JSparks, and whoever else I may be forgetting this minute. But I suspect, we will not find the two Davids, not Clay Aiken (his campaign did not raise a ton for him, and not sure how much of that would be personal income anyhow). There is also the musical theater lead role group, that I notoriously underestimate, i.e. THicks, KMaroulis, FBurino, and perhaps a few others. We'll have to see. Anyhow, Adam will finally be at the front of the bus together with the two ladies, right where he belongs, and truth be told, I think that this will create quite a media cycle just on its own, because I think that many folks in the US are just not aware how great Adam's career has been going recently. The business world knows, you can see it on such little things, that Adam, Kellie are on top page on Ryan Seacrest's article, to demonstrate idol's strength in producing stars. They know. Next January, when the next statistic rolls around, Joe Public will find out and I expect that statistic to get much more press than this year's numbers will. Mys*&@^#r, I like your thinking that initial album sales will count in this cycle, lol.

When they say through June don't they mean through the end of June. The tour started June 19 but it seems that Adam is not getting paid until the tour is over?

Craazyforadam, you will probably find this interesting too! Someone at MJ's has been keeping track since Forbes started the Idol lists:
As of 2009: 1. Carrie Underwood = 93 million (6 years) 2. Kelly Clarkson = 41.4 million (6 years) 3. Chris Daughtry = 30.2 million (6 years) 4. Kellie Pickler = 15.3 million (6 years) 5. Adam Lambert = 15 million (4 years) 6. Jennifer Hudson = 14.5 million (5 years) 7. Jordin Sparks = 11.8 million (4 years) 8. Scotty McCreery = 10.5 million (3 years) 9. Phillip Phillips = 10 million (2 years) 10. Fantasia Barrino = 7.5 million (3 years) 11. David Cook = 6.8 million (4 years) 12. Taylor Hicks = 6.3 million (3 years) 13. Clay Aiken = 5.7 million (3 years) 14. David Archuleta = 5.5 million (4 years) 15. Katharine McPhee = 3.1 million (3 years) 16. Kris Allen = 1.7 million (1 year) Interesting!
