Just my opinion here and no disrespect to the conversation going on, but I find speculation about earnings of anyone in bad taste - I hate ranking / earnings lists of all ilks. And also find our cult of worshiping income as a designator of worth to be super destructive. Adam's worth as an person, as an artist, as a role model, as a friend and son has nothing to do with $$$ and no matter what the $ figure it would be too low. And while I can look at an earnings list and smile that he's way past needing to find the money for dimmer switches - where he is on that list is irrelevant (to me). #YMMV #carryon An interesting statement that makes me wonder. I'm from Texas of mostly English ancestors and one of the "manners" instilled by my Mother was that you never asked how much money some one had. I traveled from Lax to Palm Springs one time with Catsmadam (six hours, 120 miles) and every once in a while she would say something that to me was a southern saying. Since it is likely you are also of English heritage I bet this is something we both inherited from that common ancestry. However crass it may seem income is a barometer of success but perhaps not worth. Next thing you know I will be quoting a credit card commercial "priceless" |

I've been reading the comments about the Forbes list. I wasn't going to say anything until bridgey yanked out the STOP sign.
We all loved Adam before he made the big money. We've spent 5 years trying to help him make the big money. It's nice to see how well we've been doing our job. LOL

Given how vested people get in some contestants (raises hand), it's probably not surprising that a relatively objective standard like comparative earnings is of interest to some Idol viewers. It also is used by the press as a barometer of the show's success overall. Shrugging. I'm just grateful Adam is making the kind of money that will means he will still be around as a performer for a long time. |
