Well at least Daniel, unlike Sam last year, engages with the audience and looks like he's enjoying himself. But I agree, he and Quassim were the weakest of the guys vocally.
I really hope Sarina gets through -- she really was not good last night -- it almost sounded like she was in the wrong key at times.
I think Maddie needs to loosen up a bit -- she has the deer caught in the headlights look the way she stares at the camera.
I wonder if some of the contestants wished they had chosen a different audition song!

Theosgma, I am so glad Quentin made it through because I would have been very pissed if he had not when we both know who should have gone home. I'm not dissing the kid, he is just not ready now. That is the judges fault, it should have been stopped in Hollywood week. Now they see but it's too late. I'm sad that Sarina Joi had to sing for her life because of this situation and the judges didn't save her as I knew they wouldn't. As far as the girls, I'm happy that Jax made it. I think this girl is a real artist. I was confused with the judges comments, it's like they tell her she changed it too much and then when she sings something closer to the actual song, they tell her she is an imitator. So what exactly do they want her to do? I also like this Scott Borschetta. I think he is very smart and an excellent addition to Idol.

Exactly what I thought would happen, happened :( One weak performance and Sarina is gone! Sad! I don't think she could have won but she certainly deserved to make Top 10. She suffered from too little screen time during auditions too. The eliminations will not be by any particular sex anymore. The lowest goes home, unless the judges save. One person a week! Someone good will go home again next week. Guarantee it! ETA: agree 100% on your comment about the judges and JAX! Her last song in Detroit, they told her she changed it too much ( I loved it, BTW!) So she gives them what they asked for and they hate it!  She has a very strong fan base though so I think she will be OK., |

Wow, I thought Tyanna did really well tonight. She is a natural.
Too bad about Sarina. The show kept emphasizing how many times she tried out and I don't think that helped her.
