So happy my 2 favs, JAX and Quinton made it thru. I was really concerned for Quentin. But, I don't think either one of them had their best night last nite...not bad...but not outstanding or rememberable. This is the first time I can remember that I actually like all the remaining contestants. Even Daniel is likeable, but he and Q. Middleton are my least favs. Even little Maddie is growing on me as well as Joey. I'm just not feeling Clark, altho he's a really good singer. I'm just getting tired of Ray Charles. lol.
Did Ryan say the first of April for Kelly being on? or maybe he just said in April to mentor and sing. I did hear Scott Borschetta say the finale was May 13th....or at least that was the final showdown. That's a Wed, so not sure which.

Just have to pop in here with my opinion, fwiw. I too am worried and a bit perplexed by the lack of support for Quentin...I think he is the best of the boys when you factor in voice and originality and performance...so what is with this?? I love watching Quaasim but he does not seem to have the voice...but great performance skills and liveability. I love Clark's voice and am surprised at the lack of support here....to me, he has the best straight up vocals, consistently, of the boys....but he really needs to beef up his performance skills. Of all of them, his is the cd I would purchase at the moment...I think...of the boys. I sort of agree re the young one...but he is really talented...and more memorable that a couple of them. I would be upset to see Quentin go rather than him though...and unless voting changes, that could happen. Rayvon is talented but just not my music style...which is probably why I don't care for Empire that much. Run-filled quasi melodic r&b does nothing for me...  I really like Joey, Jax and Tyanna....they all have the full package and should go far...for me, a toss between Jax and Joey with a minor edge to Joey lately. I don't find any of the other girls particularly interesting as of now...and going against the grain I know, but was not especially taken with Sarina. They are all 'good' I just am not even remotely smitten. |

I like good singers, for Idol, so i can't get on board for Daniel or Qaasim. I think Daniel will be, when his voice is finished changing, but now, "Oh Lord!!" Tyanna is blowing me away more and more every week! The girl is amazing! Only one year older than Daniel, but she is so ready! Clark bores me to death! Taylor Hicks did all these songs 9 years ago!  Yes, Kelly is on April 1st. After next week, Idol will be on only Wednesday nights until Finale week. Finale week will be May 12th and 13th! |

Ah, thanks PattiHum. I didn't realize Idol was going back to Wed. Nights. So, mark Adam off for April 1st appearance. Wouldn't think he'd be on either of the two upcoming weeks. That leaves 5 Weds. before the finale week. Looks like the timing might be just perfect to sing the new single!

Which, by the way, I do not see the same as milque toast-y wgwg....love blues...especially with the harmonica !! |

I read Slezaks reviews on tvline then watch a few of the performances. Finding most of girls and even boys to have rpeither A affected singing styles (read quirky and annoying after a few songs) or B affected performing styles. Gotta hand it to the producers they have assembled a bunch of archetypes. Of boys don't mind Nick but his step back and up to the mic guitar style is getting old. Quentin is interesting but I think he needs to tone it down to a appeal to the general public. Country barbie mark 2 could be a dark horse. But in general girls seem to be in try too hard mode - understandable given judges / producers obvious guy favouritism (Daniel anyone)...
