I EFFIN' LOOOOOOOOOOVE THAT SONG:) I'm a synesthete, and while it's not my absolute no 1 fav song on the album, it's, interestingly, the song that invokes the strongest images in my mind; dunno why is that. Anyways, I see it in all sea-type colors in the beginning (1st verse); starts all coral blue, turquoise, it's like floating in those colors but in space, and I feel absolute peace and quietness in it, don't know how to explain it better. Then, in the chorus going into 2nd verse, the colors are still kinda blue-ish but are starting to spillover into some shades of dirty pink/light fuchsia, even some purple in parts. I have this image of bubbles and round shapes, even some white flows of energy making shapes rather similar to that infinity sign Adam has on his wrist, now that I think of it( had that image in my mind from the first time I heard it). The bridge "makes me want you baby" etc, is sharper, more dark purple and with loads of the blue again, yet the wail in the middle has a strong pink feeling to me. Actually that one's interesting, coz I feel the whole bridge in pink, yet the words sound blue/purple to me. The last part is all coral blue to me, and I feel like I'm in the middle of the ocean. The whole song, to me, has a strong Pisces, Neptunian vibe to me. Not really an astrology connoisseur, although I know a thing or two about it, yet it's a strong image that I keep getting. Is there anyone else here with synesthesia, I'd really love to know how others hear it And I've always wondered how Adam hears it, I don't know if he sees colors as well, but they sure are very important to him, given how much effort he puts into the visual presentation. Re: Loaded Smile - this was brilliant at River Rock www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FlfGrRfEUYNow that is enough to send you down the youtube rabbithole for sure! gahhh...now I have a question. Much of the pleasure of watching these video's is how drop dead gorgeous Adam is. How and or where do these colors fit in...do they swirl around over/behind/around Adam....or do you just see them as an aspect of listening? What does sinesthesia do to the visual production of a show? It is very interesting...

Your post made me smile! It brings back memories of my young adult children playing dress-up when they were young. And none of them grew up to be orphans or Native Americans or horses! I truly appreciate that these posts come from a good place but for me, the point should not be to show that the little boy won't TURN gay or transgendered because he wears nail polish, it should be, so what if he is gay or transgendered? THERE IS NOTHING BAD OR WRONG ABOUT THAT! just sayin...imho For me, the problem is not that boys are acting feminine...the problem is that being feminine is assumed to be an insult. Every time we PRAISE any male, be it Adam or Sauli or our sons for being 'all boy/man/alpha male we are de facto saying that to be the opposite, in our binary world, is 'lesser'. It is the way our language is constructed...we describe concepts in their relationship to an 'other'....adjectives and adverbs are a zero sum game....there is no cold without hot, no good without bad, no better without worse. My response has more to do with saying that children should just be allowed to play. How ever they play does not define who ever they should choose to be as an adult. This fits with Adam's response that it is adults who are confused, not children. Both male and female children should be allowed to play with whatever toys, etc they want. That is how we can help our boys and girls learn to not devalue either the feminine or the masculine

That is how we can help our boys and girls learn to not devalue either the feminine or the masculine I know rama and I am not meaning to criticize any poster...just that when we justify children playing with cross gendered toys by assuring people that they grow up to be respectable accountants or teachers, for me....we are in a sense, buying into the whole original assumption rather than challenging the undergirding values that caused the issue in the first place. If being feminine were not considered negative, the nail-painting would not be an issue. You would not see this fuss if it were a picture of a girl riding a tractor with her father! That is all I meant....

My son's closest friend, when he first came to this country was a girl, 4 years younger than he. That was the only kid that would accept this foreign, over the top ADHD kid, who by the way is such a sweet boy. He would play with dolls and play house and do tea parties, with her and she would play with his trucks and cars at our house. They even exchanged toys so they could have some to play with, while they were at each of their respective homes. They were inseparable for 4 years. Then all of suddent she started hanging with girls and he with boys. Best experience ever for him. He has the utmost respect for girls. But now he is in to girls in a different way and thinks they are a pain in the ass.
He loves his mom so much, and often when younger around 7 or 8, would dress up in my clothes and put on my hats and shoes and jewelry. Now he thinks that is so uncool.
I feel all of these experiences have shaped my son in extremely good ways. Would never trade it for the world.

Mzsue, you made a VERY good point. "For me, the problem is not that boys are acting feminine...the problem is that being feminine is assumed to be an insult."DH and I just discussed this today; why somebody (even women) displaying any kind of feminine traits is considered negative? Is it because women are still considered by some to be the "weaker" sex? Maybe it's something you do not understand/have not thought of before, like a food you try for the first time and you will have to get accustomed to it? Maybe partly fear of loosing power and/or needing to learn something new? We are still living in a man's world; anything that's not supporting traditional=oldfashioned gender roles is not quite acceptable. Luckily attitudes and the social climate is changing, when these issues are made visible and people are forced to discuss. Things may not change overnight, but it's a start. Musicgirl, thanks for your thought provoking post earlier.

I was listening to Adam's Master Plan today...the lyrics in that song are so perfect...I am surprised actually, that he did not release that here. In a lot of ways, it might have been as good if not a better choice to release for the Trevor Project....just thinking out loud...

Finally had time to listen to the MyWordRadio UK Adam Lambert special. TFM is cut off..looking forward to see if we can get the whole thing. The one phrase that I heard Angelina say about hearing Adam's voice is that it was 'like standing under a sound waterfall'....
.... THUD! She nailed it right there.

Would be perfect for a Pride parade. But, IMO, it would probably have been deemed too militant for the Trevor Project. The song has a very strong message and would probably scare the bejeezus out of the pearl-clutchers.

Vivlite, missed your post yesterday, sorry. Yes, you are right about Kandinsky & MA they do go well together, especially some of the later works. Funny, bright & mixed elements. Swirly... do you feel this? OOPS>>posted before I wrote.. Adam's definitely got some Kandinsky going on..I am enthralled with the image you posted yesterday for Music Again for some reason. But the colors and boldness of design, right on. Thanks, PostfestumPF!! Do you have a choreography you might place with one of Adam's vocals???
