Billboard has revealed that AMERICAN IDOL Season 8 runner up and new Queen frontman Adam Lambert has signed a new major record deal with Warner Bros. Records. The site reports that Warner Bros reached out the singer immediately after the news broke that he had parted ways with RCA Records. Said Lambert, "The next day, Warner Bros. contacted us, which I thought was pretty amazing and it was a kind of relief. It was just a scary thing to make that announcement to the world." He had previously served as a mentor during the 13th season of the show alongside Idol alum Chris Daughtry. I don't object to the "comeback" label at least one article is using to describe Adams next album. If we think of his work with Queen as a sabbatical, well, he's just coming back from that. |

"Yes, I am from AI, yes I have 2 prior albums, yes I am fronting Queen on a world tour, and did you know this is me with Avicii?" I have abandoned RL to roll around in all the glorious Adam press, QAL performance videos, and trying to find time to watch idol again. There just might be enough Adam goodies to get me to April. Even though I feel like a saturated sponge absorbing all the wonderful Adam thinges we have to enjoy, I still thirst for new Adam music! |
