Direct Lyrics has made a big leap and assumed that The Original High is also a track on Adam's album. It might be. And then again, it might not be! I haven't seen many albums where the title is not a track on the album. So my guess is, this is one of the tracks, but NOT the first single!

Were Eber and Neil suppose to be at this concert since it was Adam's BD? Maybe Amsterdam instead? I thought it was Neil and his fiance, not Eber. Neil is going to Germany, he did not say when. Did not say if it was for a concert or vacation or even work related

They are both bigger names than Adam. Maybe not Carrie, her song's is going to be released around Super Bowl. But if Kelly drops her single around the same time as Adam do you think it's not going to affect him? I remembered we had these convo whenever Adam planned to release his singles or album. FYE was released in November, favorite time to release single or album. His competition that week was not as bad as NAL's album. FYE was #3 on Billboard. The same thing with Trespassing.
PS. Looks like Kelly's album going to be released in March. oh, but I'm sure there are plenty of artists releasing something every week... I guess it's the label's job to determine the best time, figure out the competition, etc., right? There are not as many Idol blogs and news outlets as there used to be but for example just to consider MJs then while they might not overlap on the pages of an iheart station blog they will compete a bit for space on more Idol centric site. Without comparing $$ but just name recognition then Adam usually winds up number 3 on the Idol superstar mentions (fans of other idols may disagree but its what I think I see in print). So if Kellie or Carrie has any action upcoming then there are possibilities for both competition and synergy. Perhaps a concern might be that Idol would like Kellie to perform her single on the show, would that knock out a spot for Adam to do his? But on the synergy side maybe Idol goes with a theme since they are trying to push that they are the only show that's produced stars and what better way than a current past idol star on every show. I actually see a lot of synergy with this group probably because they are quite different and the length of time. But many articles (not press releases) will link them together and say things like "other former idols releasing....." I don't think it does any harm to Adam to be linked to them but yes, even though they aren't managed the same I would think his label and management would be more concerned about avoiding overlapping their release dates than others in the same genre. Even Carrie in country while it shouldn't effect Adam in pop/rock charts you still have parts of their fans that are fans of both and may not be able to support (ie buy) in the same time frame. Idol for all its age is still an institution and artists links to it and to each other will always be there.

Kelly's single is already out & her album will be out before Adam's single is even released. Since Adam has been on Idol every year, since his season, I have no reason to not believe that he can be on to perform anytime he wants. I agree that there is an interest in what other Idols are doing. It is a show of competition, so the competition kind of never ends.

I haven't seen many albums where the title is not a track on the album. So my guess is, this is one of the tracks, but NOT the first single! Still a leap since we do not have any album track titles. Yes, it is common that . And Adam's first two albums had an album title track but it is more common not to have a track on the album with the same name as the album title. So he could do it again. An album title that is also a track on the album is done but not as common as I thought before I looked. For example -- in the current Billboard 200 top 10 albums -- 80% do not have a track with the album title's name: Taylor Swift 1989, Ed Sheeran X, Joey Bada$$ B4.Da.$$ (Before Da Money), Nickie Manaj The Pinkprint, The Decemberists What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World, Marilyn Manson The Pale Emperor, Sam Smith In The Lonely Hour, and Mark Ronson Uptown Special.
It is the same for albums #11-20.
