I think that has been his biggest area of growth since Idol. I think he has done a lot of work on developing that lower register to have more flexibility in it than before and I also think it had a lot to do with Slash's comment about not always playing around in the top end. I think that comment from Slash may have made Adam realize that he was neglecting a part of his register and he has spent time flexing those muscles. I think one reason that FYE live was a struggle for him was that it was mostly set in that middle to low area of his voice that he hadn't been focusing on so it was more of a challenge. More recent live performances have sounded much better I think because he has worked more on that area of his range and has more flexibility and control there then he had in the past.

I haven't watched any singing reality tv competitions since Adam on Idol, but I might just have to tune into America's Got Talent for the tenor trio, Forte. The newest member, Sean Panikkar, has a beautiful voice. I kind of wish it was just him singing. youtu.be/0xQwlcowRLsyoutu.be/qfOqDRwUpro

Hi. I have been way behind this summer and just watched some video from Paso Robles. I noticed something Adam did that I saw one other time, I think during the Hammersmith show. Watch before Chokehold, when he has his back turned, it appears as if Adam takes a drink and then picks up something else--my guess is a nasal spray. So I guess my question is, is that something ordinarily done by singers? Any reason to worry he is pushing it to hard?
ps A continued thanks to all who make this thread so incredibly valuable!

An A2#? Surprisingly good. Yeah a few Bb2's, Bb2-Gb5 in the song overall in fact. Same amount of range as Runnin'!

4:22 full voice B5 bitches! Probably worth mentioning that that acoustic mix has more range than Runnin' too @ C#3-B5!
