Queen and Adam Lambert have this afternoon reluctantly been forced to announce the cancellation of their sold out Brussels concert scheduled to take place tonight, Sunday February 8 at Palais 12, Brussels.
The cancellation comes after doctors in Frankfurt, where Queen + Adam Lambert performed last night, this morning diagnosed Adam with severe bronchitis and have ordered 24 hour vocal and bed rest.Unfortunately, due to unavailability of the venue, it not going to be possible to reschedule the show. It is not expected that the rest of the Queen + Adam Lambert tour which ends in the UK February 27 will be affected. I can't even imagine how it feels for artists to cancel.... must be devastating...
and poor peeps that travel to the show...
but now the main priority to get well and hopefully recover by the next date!

Unless they definitely have a plan to reschedule, it would have been a cool time to throw something together but Queen has never been spontaneous.
I remember when Eddie Vedder fell in they just got Neil Young to sing and they did all sorts of tracks not on the original set list.
It could have been a unique gig although I know the Adam fans probably wouldn't have cared as much...

It's such a shame for everyone - Adam, Queen, and all the fans of both.
talon, maybe they would have considered doing something like what you suggested a few years ago, but I doubt they'd just whing it now when it's such a grand production and a show that's billed as Queen + Adam Lambert. What would they do, rename it Queen + Adam Lambert - Adam Lambert ? Not very catchy. ... I'm just kidding, trying to lighten the mood...
I really feel for all those folks who might have travelled from far to catch this show. How disappointing for them...
I hope Adam gets better and the next show goes as planned.

LOL. They probably would have just called it Queen...and they almost never would have done it because of their lack of spontaneousness and also due to the grand production.
I was just saying that if they can't reschedule, it would have been a nice effort and a unique performance to say the least!
