I was reading last few pages of Hamburg thread and I saw the challenge that nobody in all corner of the world can do what Adam did last night in Hamburg during TSMGO. And last night he did this amazing thing, was kneeling/sitting back-bend and hold the note at the end of TSMGO and it was superb, incredible and amazing. And we think nobody can do what he did last night in this whole world. And my mind automatically goes to this one person.
If we could search all corners of the planet I do believe we can find this person and we don't have to go too far. This person's here in the US. Look what she did from 4:00 up in the air not only holding one note but she did sing part of the song in the almost up side down position.
Okay I'm ready
I remember watching that performance. It was amazing. I'm not terribly fascinated by "spectacle" (ala Katy Perry's 1/2-time show), but this one was spectacular and beautiful. On the singing end of it, I have noticed a couple things--and I'm not making a contest between Adam and her. She certainly practiced this a lot as it looked effortless (and was apparently a gymnast as a kid). One would definitely need to get used to the spinning. In this performance she sings after she has changed her body position and is not singing anything very challenging (calm, low, short phrases). When Adam does his "acrobatics," he seems to do it on the fly, in the spirit of the moment, unrehearsed. In addition, he does it in this and other instances singing some very loud, high notes (during GNT a few times). To top it off, he is moving into position while he sings. That means his diaphragm (breathing muscle) is very busy while he is bending backwards into a difficult position. That would cause most of us to STOP breathing as we tighten our core stomach muscles. Both performances are amazing! I'm a big P!nk fan and I saw her do that live. In her last tour, P!nk was suspended in the air doing aerial gymnastics for about a third of her show. My favorite male performer is Adam but my favorite female performer is P!nk. For me, they both shine far above any other artists. I would LOVE to see them co-tour together.

Can someone please translate this into English... tried but I couldn't get the translation..Thanks This is a rough translation from Google. I typed this out, so there may be errors and not having an "umlaut" function on my keyboard might have prevented translation of some words.. As an encore, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. The nearly sold-out hall was upside down before pleasure. Thanks so much, pi! "upside down before pleasure" - I like that!

poor pink - did someone compliment her lol? (btw she was a gymnast when she was kid - she's not just off the olympic team lol - she trained like mad for that tour and still injured herself a number of times - risk taking in the name of artistry) Anyway, i'm a huge fan and while it's true she's not a belter, she has another kind of voice that I like very much. (of course, her amazing songwriting skills are also a great part of her arsenal.) While she clearly loves introducing theatrical elements into her shows, her song interpretations ('i don't believe you', 'glitter in the air' 'sober' 'f*ckin perfect') still convey such honesty and rawness, (fewer operatic gestures or drama gasps but huge emotional resonance) - they move me and make me think. maybe a different style need not be inherently inferior and can even have its advantages for some listeners. just one view I think everyone's been complimenting her! I see lots of P!NK love here!
msloyalfan, would love a duet with them, but not a co-tour. That would make each of their sets shorter! P!NK is the only other artist I would travel to see. Luckily, being so close to LA, I will never have to.

Its an off day. So maybe a good time to post these thoughts. As a musician but now also a business owner, I never had the inclination to attend multiple concerts of the same band or follow them around on tour. And I certainly would have thought someone ridiculous who did this - "they must have no life so live through someone else" is how I would have judged this type of person. Now I understand and here I am doing this myself! First with Adam and now Queen. Why? There are two primary reasons for me: 1. INSPRATION AND JOY-- I am inspired and motivated by the dedication to excellence which obviously equires a lot of self-sacrifice and commitment over a long haul. Its easy to look out on the world and feel surrounded by mediocricy, selfishness and greed. QAL concerts not only rise above all of that but manifest such joy! The question then is this -- how can I live/work so the I exemplify the same qualities consistently in my own life rather than just being content in observing them in AFL/Queen? 2. LIVE IN THE PRESENT -- My wheelchair bound sister Linda had aspired to be an opera singer. She was the only family member who "got" my strange obsession with AFL. She was very low at Christmas when I visited and helped nurse her 24/7. It was precious sister time. She asked me to take her along in my back pocket on this solo European trip. And I have! The trip has been all the more poignant because she passed away two weeks before I left. So living life to the full and finding your mojo is huge to me even if those around you don't get it. Huge thanks to Q3 for creating Adamtopia where so many of us can joyfully share our thoughts and experiences. Now for many others of you, if might not be all that deep. Scroll is your friend. But just wanted to bring another perspective to following the band around on tour. And yes, I am seeing the sights and meeting the locals as well, But that's secondary right now. This is an introspective travel trip. Not sure too many would get that. OK - enough of that. Carry on, carry on! Yes, yes, yes and Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Zeldon. Sometimes I wonder why I am "wasting" time reading about and watching videos of people I'll never meet doing things I would never do ... but it's the inspiration they provide to live and work and play with your whole heart, with joy and excellence in spite of this being sometimes a very dark ride -- yes! Also, my condolences on the loss of your sister ... I love that you are transmuting grief and loss into a commitment to living fully. The best, bravest kind of alchemy.

Luckily, being so close to LA, I will never have to. ITA I want them both to have full length concerts. Put me in the camp of not wanting Adam to do duets and co-tour. But what I would love, is for Adam to tour with some real singers he could work with on stage -- his show with some great singers that compliment him. For example, Adam + Sam Sparro on back up vocals would work for me. I like Adam + a nice smooth baritone better than Adam + any soprano. JMHO and I admit to having an massive crush on SS and that I adore "Shady" and "Broken English." (Nile is allowed to come too!)
