Not sure if this had been posted already. I had not seen it. Interview with Freddie's assistant by one of the Digital Dream Door guys. Talk about Adam begins around 1:18. Interesting journey from the interviewer, from super skeptic to fan.

It's amazing so far. Lots of very in depth talk about Freddie's voice. We finally have a definitive statement that Freddie was a natural baritone with an upward extension, not a tenor with a lower extension!

if you listen further you'll get to the point where Peter settles on Heledentenor (think Wagner) for Freddie, explaining the difference with Verditenor, and the reasons for his opinion: Heldentenors are lower, more powerful and less passionate. A very interesting discussion!

How generous it is on Peter's part to give a full three hours interview! BRAVO!



Very interesting. Only skipped around. But at 1:24 or so they talk more about Adam. Peter is very clear saying the songs have to live and Freddie's recordings stand so essentially no need to "defend" Freddie when there are other singers/interpretations. He saw QAL in Wroclaw and says since then, Adam's come on (same things Brian and Roger say and we've seen). Adam as QAL has improved immensely. But what is weird is that Peter says "Adam has a good teacher in the back." Totally get that Adam had training and Freddie didn't. At some point, though, shouldn't Adam get credit for using his training in order to interpret the songs? He's not looking offstage to his vocal coach. The only teacher in his entourage is his personal trainer. Or did Peter just mean "in the back" as good teachers in his background?

Greg asked some nice questions but at other times it was very rambling. His conversion to QAL is funny, and his regret over his initial harsh attitude is sweet. He went to Detroit then had to go to Toronto and then the next Toronto and each successive gig was better than the previous. Lol

Very nice of him to give the interview. Wonder what he does now for a living? He referred to hotel rooms in Czech Republic.
