Not quiet anymore, I just saw those pictures. Adam looks young and splendid.

I love that so many lines connect to Adam, as Q3 just wrote. Love that he is mentioned with nothing but positive references. Love that Adam has such a rich life, that allows tie-ins to Glee and to Queen and To Avicii and Nile and a fashion show and red carpets and life in LA. And that I am fan of a guy, where dozens of references are made in the media in one day...and we are calling it a slow day.
How spoiled we are.

I think we need to forgive Lindsay Parker for not pulling up comparisons to Adam at every moment. Writing about the current season and making it interesting to the reader, is her meal-ticket. Constantly pointing to a better past is not helping her, or the show, or its ratings. It is not like she said anything negative, she just let Joey's performance stand on its own.
Yes, Idol has gotten tired, or we have, but I agree with Emo that the constant dissing of idol rubs me the wrong way too. I don't think that the Voice singers are all better. It is just that they pre-select a top group instead of building a season towards determining the 10 finalists. I find the chair rounds ok on the Voice, but the show loses me, once they get to the sing-offs. At that time, the songs are assigned, instead of chosen, and the artistry gets lost in the mandate to turn it into a battle or sing-off. Especially, introspective performances lose out in such a format. The show also usually loses audiences during those weeks, but the Voice starts strong, because of the chair auditions, and journalists write how the ratings are so wonderful compared to Idol, when in reality, they are far more neck-to-neck or eve favorable to idol, especially when you compare the Voice as is it petering out, with Idol close towards the end.

I think actually, this was the first season, where idol fought back a bit in the media, trying to make a case for itself, rather than letting this lop-sided pro-Voice storyline continue unchallenged. Good for them.

I have no preference this year, but think that a few people are interesting. One girl I liked, is already gone, unfortunately. I think the show has a few good people, I do not get the sense they have a superstar though. Jax has definitely a career somewhere, she is Ms Self-promotion par excellence, but she also goes on my nerves, and I find her vocally too one-dimensional for my interest. I think this group looks like they jumped out of a production of Hair, especially the guys. Could see them perform Aquarius without any problem.

The judges nerve me more than the contestants, that is for sure...and that is the one thing, where the Voice is beating idol big time. Don't know, why idol was unable to replace judges with talent that is equivalent to what the Voice has.

Alright, I need to look more at the pics coming in from that fashion show, so I'll stop rambling. Adam seems to like shiny jackets these days, doesn't he? He is gorgeous, stunningly handsome. His eyes are piercing here, piercing in a good way though. Love the way he looks.

Not trying to rub it in, but I had to turn my air conditioner on yesterday, because it has been in the 80s here.  So not ready for the Texas heat!
