Wanted to see Ru Paul drag race after seeing all the conversations here, so I've been having a drag race marathon all evening. I love it. It's very addictive program. I've already four times decided that since it's very late this is going to be the last episode for now, but I think I'm going to watch just one more ;D Had also interesting conversation this evening. I was watching and hubby comes to see what I'm doing and asks right away. "Is that Ru Paul?" "Yes, how did you know?" "There is her CD from the nineties in our bookshelf." "Really wow." Then he gives me this link to a youtube video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtO_jSbNN6IAnother program I've been watching now is AI season 8 ;D I started that a few days ago. Although I have to admit I couldn't wait to see all Adam parts so I fast forwarded all the episodes. I was surprised how young he seems compared to now. By the way the beard conversation has landed into Finnish media too. ;D What channel is running AI season 8??!!

I don't blame James' fans. Adam has a lot of pull, and I don't think he saw James performance last night. I love Haley also, but James blew me away last night with his performance especially at the beginning of his song when he sang acappella. I had goosebumps. James had an excellent performance last night. One of the best of anyone, all season long, IMO. However, he has been flat or off pitch every single song this season and the judges have never called him otu on it, so I think Adam's opinion is perfect. Many, many ex-idols are blogging and being guest recappers on quite a view Idol news sites, and they are all giving honest opinions. I think Adam can too. I didn't bring it over here, but Michael Johns criticized Adam's voice in his critique of James this week. Everyone has their opinions. What was the criticism? Just curious. I just watched GaGa on Ellen. I miss Adam singing live so much. It's unreasonable.

The former American Idol singer showed up at the 28th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in Hollywood (no, we haven't heard of them either) with thick eyeliner, a moustache that matches his eyebrows and a heavily manicured beard. We think he looks like he's auditioning for a sequel to 'V for Vendetta' - but what do you think of Adam Lambert's facial hair?

After Hurricane Wilma, Florida enacted law that all major gas stations have back up generators because no accessible gas was one of worst problems. Fort Lauderdale had no street lights, glass blown out of high rises, including one where I worked, etc. I had no power for 16 days, lots of people in the same boat.
I went to huge church and it was hilarious to have our pastor sounding like an autioneer from the pulpit (looking at 4000 people at every service) saying that after service all the people who had gotten electricty back and had generators they could loan out should go to a certain location and those looking for generators should go and brow beat them into giving it to them. I loved it! Then he said, "I don't even know who I gave mine to." A meek voice piped up from the middle of the church, "That would be me, Pastor Bob." As inconvenient as everything was, and as horrible for some, people did come together. Our church put on 900 "blue roofs," tarps to the uninitiated, for free. There were 1 -2 mile lines to get into gas stations that did have power. My brother-in-law was a pilot, so we crept into one of the smaller airports and added a little airplane fuel. You could only do that if you had at least a 1/2 tank of gas, otherwise your engine would blow up from the 100 octane. All in all, terrible tragedy for those who lost homes, but you really see steps up in those situations.

Needacoke - like everyone else, I'm so glad to hear that you're all right. And glad to hear that bamafan is ok, especially with the extensive damage to her home and her husband's business.
I met bamafan at Louisville, and enjoyed getting to know her a little. Like others have already said, if there's anything that we can do to help, please let us know.

I just watched GaGa on Ellen. I miss Adam singing live so much. It's unreasonable. Here you go -- Michael likes James' "high notes" better than Adam's: "James is a class act, and he commands the stage. In the a cappella portion of the song, he was pitch-perfect. His reworking of this classic was great and shows he’s got so much confidence to do both the big songs and the stripped-back stuff. I only wish he didn’t finish on that note. Maybe I’m picky. Besides, what the judges said is true: He’s consistent every week. But I like his high stuff way better than Adam Lambert; it's more pleasing to the ear. Calm down, Gamberts. Not hating…" www.hollywoodreporter.com/idol-worship/guest-blogger-american-idol-alum-183228Oh well ...
