I don't see "poor Shoshanna", but I do see someone fully engaged in Adam and in extension his fans. More #Adam Lambert, #Ghost Town slash tags out there the better! So I think we need to add cake to the champagne and money! Betty? Well how about these cakes! ![]()    |

In a drum battle Roger (and I love Roger to death) would get trounced by Neil. Glamberts "getting the win" for Roger only proves these polls are completely meaningless IMO. Polls like these are fun and encourage some good discussion if they can stay self-contained to the intended user-base, in this case rock aficionados who are likely well-informed fans of both Queen and Rush. It's when these things get reduced to vote-spam competitions that it becomes pointless. ymmv #nodrama <shrug> I enjoy and appreciate both Queen and Rush and have for many years. When I determine to vote for in these things (if I think it's worthwhile to vote in the first place as I usually don't bother) I do incorporate my opinions about additional factors such as songwriting and singing ability along with pure technique when I determine what constitutes "The Greatest xxx". Basically, I look holistically at the person sitting in that slot. The greatest weight absolutely goes to technique, but there's definitely also consideration given to other factors about what makes an individual great as an overall contributor to the band/sound/historical contribution/etc. So, I feel no guilt about voting for Roger. None. That said, I think both guys are awesome, and was rooting for a perfect tie.  |

I don't feel that "poor Shoshanna" thing myself. She responds to people on Twitter either cuz she sees it to a degree as part of her job, for which I am sure she is well-compensated (after all, she gets to know Adam!) I doubt her 'official' job description includes fan interaction, so yes she chooses to do so. That does not diminish my awe and support of her for having never (to my knowledge) started one of her responses as I would - you can likely figure out how that might go :D , hence the award. |
