I voted 10 times for Adam but nothing changed. I hate these polls. I have been religiously voting everyday at least 10 times and more a day. There is something seriously wrong with the voting procedure on this poll. Kelly Clarkson is barely beating Kat McPhee?? WTF! I think what people of other fans are doing, as they vote for their Idol, is that they are also voting for the person they think will give their Idol the least competition in next week's poll. For example, the Clay fans (when they vote for Clay) are probably taking the time to vote for Kat and Jordin because they know it wll be less competition than Adam. Does that make sense? I think that's exactly what's going on.

Thanks Seoulmate and MyS*&@^#r50. Could be a pissed off Durban fan. Adam so rarely says harsh things about anyone. I'll bet Durban fans are steaming furious. Curious: Do they ask prior contestants to make statements or did Adam just offer up. Just can't figure out why he would want to dis anyone at this point, even if it is true. Is it necessary? And the thing about Pia. She's gone. Was it necessary to say something about her? I think this is part of the I align-with-the-winners game. It's a little tiger-eating-the-vulnerable for my taste. Does it make Adam look better, stronger, more honest, more kick-ass? I'm asking this honestly. I would like to know the method to the madness. You all know I love Adam. It is just a little cut throat and really has to hurt Pia and James at this point. CAn't Haley be lifted up without the others getting crushed? I'm with you on this one. I think when Adam gets a chance to think about it, he will probably apologize. Believe it or not, our wonderful Adam makes mistakes sometimes. I think that interview was one. Adam wasn't the only former idol talking about this year's cast. Several of them came out with their thoughts on the top ten. I think former idols should watch what they say about the current crew because it causes a backlash. Sometimes I wonder if Adam understands his power yet. I don't think Adam should apologize for anything..he didn't say anything wrong and he didn't make a mistake by saying what he did..as far as backlash, Adam is not one to shy away from anything..he always gives his honest opinion and stands by his statements and he can handle whatever happens

I thought I read "I'm so over James, etc." That sure is not a critique of his singing or helpful. It is a total dismissal of the person as a singer. I have read so much on this topic, I can't remember what Adam actually said now. Can we get over this? He didn't say "I'm so over James" at all. I agree about getting over this but when people are still making, what I perceive to be, snide comments about Adam voicing his opinion then it's hard to move on. If Adam is so powerful then I expect Haley to win Idol and James to be voted off next week : I hope people didn't give to charity:water just to "make Adam look good" Again, Adam has power within his own fandom but on the grand scale not so much. If you were voting for James before and liked what he was doing, keep voting for him. If you weren't then what Adam said shouldn't bother you. JMO where is gelly with some pretty pictures? :(

GORGEOUS VISITS FROM GERMANY
Gorgeous is the nickname I gave to the young man I met in Germany at Adam’s concert. We were at the Munich and Berlin concerts together. In Munich, Gorgeous and I stood front row where Adam noticed and called out to him (it’s in the vid).
For some reason, Gorgeous hung out with me and another Glambert instead of with the young’ins. The three of us did a bit of bar hopping, especially in Berlin.
OK, on to NYC!
The main reason Gorgeous came to visit at this time was for the Gaga concert. We had 5th row seats in the section by the stage. Great concert. After the concert we came back to the city with another young guy that was part of our Gaga group and hit a gay bar till 4am. Oh yeah, we did some sightseeing in the afternoon too. I think that was our museum day. On another night we went wayyy uptown to meet my drinking buddy Robert (the singer whom has been mentioned here) and closed down that gay bar. Since we weren’t able to walk home and had to wait for the subway, that was a 5:30 am night.
For the other nights, I had found some young people on Twitter for him to hang with. I had gotten wind of a group of NYU students going out and asked if I could send Gorgeous to join them (Gorgeous is a college student also). I promised them I wouldn’t come, lol. He actually joined them two nights and also joined the guy from our Gaga group another night (boyz night out). The earliest Gorgeous ever saw the sofa was the night we came in at 4:30 am.

(con’t)
So here is what I really want to share. One or both of these stories will touch your heart.
If you ask Gorgeous how he became an Adam fan he will tell you that he liked WWFM and did some research on Adam. He loves the person that Adam is and says Adam had helped him get through a difficult year. Especially the “It Gets Better” video. I heard him tell this story twice. My mind was blown. We’ve heard Adam say that young people have told him this, but here it was, first hand. On my next Skype session with Gorgeous, I am going to encourage him to write Adam a letter.
The other story is my sweet friendship with Gorgeous. What are the chances that this guy would come up to me in Munich at Adam's concert to ask me a question and that there would be this unusual friendship that developed? Adam has changed my life in so many ways.
I adore Gorgeous. All week I just couldn’t do enough for him. I cooked, I ironed shirts, I made the sofa, unmade the sofa. I asked him if he needed any laundry done. He had to suffer through me calling him sweetie, gorgeous, and bebe. We had a lot of private conversations and a lot of laughs. He hugged me and told me I was his American mom.
On Easter we took a trip out to Queens to the Tennis Stadium. Gorgeous likes tennis so we toured the grounds of the US Open. We sat in the park afterward and talked politics and economics. I was so impressed that such a young guy could carry on such a conversation. And then we had a heart to heart conversation. I asked him what it was like to realize that he was attracted to boys. He told me how scary it was and how old he was. We talked about his relationship with his parents. I took his hands in mine and listened.
On the day Gorgeous left he promised me he would visit again. He told me that I had the warmest heart of anyone he had ever met and I should ignore any haters. I got another promise out of him. I made him promise that when he was older he would do the same thing for someone younger.
After I put him in the cab to the airport, I came upstairs and cried.
late edit: I cried b/c I became attached to this exceptional young man, not b/c I felt he was going back to a place that wasn't welcoming.

And one more thing so I can end on an upbeat note - Gorgeous met Sauli and Raja!
He didn’t come to the Drag Race finale but met them at one of the gay bars he was at on boyz nite out (same night). He didn’t remember the name of the place.
I got to say hello to Raja at the Drag Race finale and he remembered PastaBaby. Made my night. I didn’t see Adam. I knew he had to be there but suspected he purposely stayed out of sight. After the show my drinking buddy and I went to do what we do best. For those of you that think that I was the woman in the video where Adam was chased in the club, you really don’t know me (and I’m not talking physical appearance here). As far as physical appearance, there is more than one woman with curly hair in this state. And PastaBaby has all her teeth.
I rolled into my apartment around 3am quite, ahem, tipsy. I still managed to make the bed for Gorgeous so he could just crash whenever he rolled in. My love runs deep.

I am just now catching up with the thread, so the issue of Adam commenting on the Idols, James in particular, may be dead, and my point made already. But, heck, y'all frequently ask me my opinion of other singers, so I thought I would chime in.
I agree with what Adam said about James.... pretty much. I DIDN'T think he had been pitch perfect, so Adam was actually kinder than I have been about James on the Idol thread. Adam is what I would call an "expert witness." Everybody has an opinion about the Idol contestants. That's why the show is so popular. But, few have the singing and performance background, the knowledge of technique, the experience with how to interpret and deliver a song and make it unique. Adam is uniquely qualified to render his opinion, as an expert.
With everyone and their brother/sister talking about the Idols, who they like, who they think should go home, and everyone commenting on the lack of valid, constructive feedback from the judges, I do not understand why Adam is expected to refrain from giving his honest opinion. Is it BECAUSE he really knows what he is talking about? BECAUSE he can walk the walk, not just talk the talk? Is it BECAUSE his opinion will, therefore hold more weight in the public's or the contestants' eyes? So, would some prefer that only the untrained or uneducated express their opinions? Or should no one but the judges say what they think? I just don't get it.
There was nothing vicious, mean-spirited or personal about what Adam said. It was focused and on-target, IMO. If the Idols cannot bear to hear critiques from people in the industry, what are they doing going on Idol and trying to break into the industry? They will constantly be hearing everyone's opinion of their work. Industry moguls, PR people, media, reviewers, fans, haters, paps, and people who walk up to them in the supermarket. They will also constantly hear people's unsolicited opinions about their hair, make-up, facial hair, clothes, boots, boyfriends, and behavior even in their free time. I would think that the opinion of an insider would be welcome, even if it is not glowing.
Okay, climbing back off my soap box.
