Danilo, I have the Kiss&Tell IIHY from April 24. I'll upload it to Mediafire for you. The one from the 26th is of better quality, but I guess you have that already? BBL

8toInfinity: LOL!! So true. I would be definitely be butthurt if things weren't going so well for Adam. I doubt I would attack other artists, but I do feel for Cook's fans who had to wait almost three years for his sophomore album and then have the first single kind of meh and flounder. With sports, I'm kind of a wimpy fan. I always like my teams, but I don't get CRAZY about them unless their winning. It's too heart breaking to follow them closely when they're losing. But Adam has ruined that too. I'm a Green Bay fan and I barely paid attention this year until they were in the playoffs. And oh yeah, the Lakers are in the second round of the playoffs too ... I guess I should catch a game soon. : : Before Adam, I would have been checking the scores in the paper every morning. LOL.

fanwars - like SusieFierce said, I see as sports team/hunger games/idol bubble behavior and they kind of make psychological sense in this context as these are games that have to have a loser (or several) in order to have a winner. The larger music industry as a whole doesn't require this of a fan, there is no either/or in our buying and listening habits, although I'm sure the animosity between fans of two pop acts sharing the same niche comes from competition for the top spots on Billboard charts and sales. It's all "words can never hurt me/Adam" in my opinion though, especially words inside an idol bubble forum or site -- that he's never going to see. Twitter trolls too are something he can easily block, they upset other fans, but why care about a 15 year old going "na, na, na, na" even with hateful language? Block, report, do not engage, move on, the bad behavior of a not-particularly bright angry fan or two has no bearing on the actual musicians themselves. Friendly and joking rivalries and back and forths can be fun of course. As can watching quietly from the sidelines as someone makes a fool of themselves (I'm no saint). On the Russian music festival, I don't know if it's a camping out type of scene, but if so, some of these survival tips based on UK rock festivals might be helpful to those going: strodesindependent.com/2011/04/02/festival-survival-tips/

As for fanwars, it was all a revelation to me that they existed, when I started stanning Adam. I didn't even know there were online boards devoted to discussion and analysis of reality shows and talent competitions, LOL. I quickly learned that I don't have the stomach for the fanwars on mixed boards. But then I've never liked competitive sports, either.
I have to think that the heavily-invested, online contingent of both AI and Adam's fanbase is very small in comparison to the whole. I remember being shocked that most of the fans I encountered at concerts were not online at all. Like, WUTTT, you don't have a Twitter account????
And then I remember all the other artists I absolutely adore, whose albums I happily buy. But I haven't the foggiest idea what they are up to on a daily basis, nor do I really care, lol. Doesn't mean I won't buy their next album. I think our perception is way skewed.

either way, get used to the fanwars if you plan on following Adam... he'll be be the object of many a bitter disgruntled fan's frustration and bitterness and it will get worse the more successful be becomes. Earlier I went to the "Prince-Covers" article and saw that there were around 50 comments. I wanted to read other peoples opinion and started reading the comments. Half of them were like "Adam is not a songwriter, therefore cannot have an opinion", "Adam cannot sing" blabla..and Adam fans intervened etc. Adam is beyond idol now. He is invited to industry events, is getting obviously respect from his colleagues, his opinions matters and is making headlines with his facial hair. IMO fans of other Idols who thought (hoped) his 15 minutes are over soon, realize this now and it hurts. If Adams new album will be more successful than Cooks or Allens new CDs the butthurt will be epic.....! 8-)

Zinnia, the fanwars don't accomplish anything. They are entertaining for some people (I know I enjoy giving someone a good bitchslap once in a while LOL). Oh, okay :D. More than happy this forum and others alike exist . Wish I had known about them earlier! Yeah, I get the picture . Still, no sense in it, but there are many other things in this world that make no sense either!

But, dear ZINNIA, your point of view would require people to be compassionate and/or have common sense, both of which are sorely lacking in the world today. Love your posts and appreciate your help with the transcriptions of Tutka. Haha :D, thank you .

And last summer, instead of watching baseball with the family, I'd be happy they were "otherwise engaged" so I could be on the computer. In other news, my (gay) middle son just decided it was a beautiful weekend to go stay with his friends in LA. He said tonight they'll probably go out to the clubs in WEHO. OMG!! Freaking out. But I said, very casually, if you see Adam and Sauli, would you send me a picture? He chuckled (at my casualness) and said he would. LOL If this happens, I swear I'll find a way to post it. I'll be at a dinner party but my phone has skills, even if I don't. I'll go in the bathroom and FIND A WAY.
