Not that is matters, just curious...which Adam fan site? This one -- of course! *** One of my friends advises, have a cosmo (or three) and watch the video again! Sounds like an inspired plan!

Ok, here's my take on the video. It is cutting-edge and new. Haven't seen another one quite like it. I intend to watch it many times as I'm sure many Glamberts will, too, along with millions more. HOWEVER, I wish the visuals had more to do with the lyrics. I love the lyrics of this song. They are crying out to tell a story, but there is no story. Just random dancing. I love the first few seconds of the ghost town-y scenes, and I was hoping it would have a kind of narrative. But no. Parts I love: Adam's "Elvis" moment. Very cute and sexy. All close-ups of Adam. Also love all parts with Adam dancing, but there just aren't enough of those moments. The quick cutting is very cool, but kind of chops it up. I am going to support Adam as I have always done and I'll give the video all the hits I can. I do like it. Just wish it told the story that is lurking in there somewhere.

I was going to hold off on posting my opinion in this thread as to not bring the general mood down, but after seeing this post....fuck it, I can't resist. I agree. I find it...unpleasant to look at. I just watched it once, but I had no desire to watch it again; I felt more inclined to watch the lyric video again. It's like takes the best aspects (Adam's friends) and the worst aspects (the seizure-inducing flashes) of the IIHY video and throws them onto a slate more reflective of Adam's updated aesthetic. I ended up feeling like my eyeballs were forcefully assaulted with an absurd amount of imagery, yet nevertheless I took nothing away from this video other than the fact that Adam has hot friends (which I already knew). To me, the worst part was Hype Williams namedropping himself in the middle of the video. I have no problem with directors crediting themselves at the beginning or end of a video, but the middle? No. It's tacky. It's distracting. It draws all attention away from whatever else is going on. Plus, who decided to use that font? Oh, and for the record, I'm 21. Not that I claim to represent all young people, but disliking this video is definitely not an age-related thing.
I watched it once and haven't gone back to watch it again. I think it's a bit Frantic and Schizophrenic, exactly just like Adam describe Ghost Town. I will go watch it again tomorrow.
I adore Adam, from the beginning, but for me this does not showcase his voice. I feel the song tails off and is repetitive. I agree with the Hype Williams name dropping. Maybe live performance will be different.

The song Ghost Town is truly off the charts hands down, wow, no debate. But how did Adam capture the very essence of Elvis (apart from having his good looks of course) in this video. Amazing. I agree, but, truly, I think Adam (and the whole cast of his ghost town) captured the very essence of the song just through artistic interpretation and very, very little narration. Much like the song lyrics themselves, which Adam said were left vague so that the listener could ascribe his or her own interpretation, the video emotes the feelings and impressions of the song without dictating a story. I think it's genius! Yes, Yes! I totally agree! The song and the video emote feelings. There is no particular story to tell. It's all about interpreted feelings....that's what Adam wanted.

I love the video..........totally enhanced the song for me. Of course my favourite part is the homage to Elvis!
