BLOWN AWAY! What a day! First an unbelievable 38 radio adds! WUT??!!!! Then this incredibly done video! Holy crap, the editing job, alone boggles my mind. Then throw in Adam's face in HD close ups and I am DED!! DED I TELL YOU!!! So happy! So proud! So thrilled to have been on this 6 year journey with this talented sweet man!  I am still blown away! |

I don't get the need for a 'story'... the song itself has no narrative; it's purely emotive. The lyrics don't 'begin' and 'end' an idea; they present only a feeling through metaphorical images.
Sure, they could've tacked on a story to the video but that wouldnt've represented the actual song for what Adam means it to do: provide the listener an opportunity to define her/his own meaning. Beyond that though, it's just fu@#in FUN. It's a great counterbalance to the weight of the lyrics.

I liked it. And even my husband liked it (unless he was trying to impress me). It just fits the song and the target audience. Should a youtube of the upcoming Ellen performance, I'm sure I will watch that for other reasons (but to be fair, I do have the vcr set up for Ellen.)
