I just read Q3's post about Adam being an expert in Fan Relationship Management and the art of strategic self-disclosure, and it's so apropos, considering today's tweets. Adam's fans have been flailing all day over his tweet and pic with Sauli, with all kinds of assumptions and descriptions of Adam's relationship. LOL, I've done it too, but, as usual, we know very little about what is real. Doesn't matter, because we adore Adam, and we are happy when he is happy, and I'm sure he knows this. I'm often as struck by what he chooses to conceal or not openly respond to/address, as what he chooses to reveal. For all his openness and honesty, he is not transparent or predictable, he's a bit of an international man of mystery. Quoting someone (I have no idea where this meme started) "his hair is full of secrets"  and it's part of his appeal |

Adam's fans have been flailing all day over his tweet and pic with Sauli, with all kinds of assumptions and descriptions of Adam's relationship. LOL, I've done it too, but, as usual, we know very little about what is real. Doesn't matter, because we adore Adam, and we are happy when he is happy, and I'm sure he knows this. Just thinking what he accomplished with his tweets today: Made a very simple statement-- "Rakastan" (I love) with no smileys or exclamation points. It's like an answer to a question that he didn't wait to have asked. Made many thousands of fans very, very happy for him, and made us feel even closer to him than before. Sent out a pic himself that surely would have been ninja'd before too long. It was his decision and his announcement to make. Once again reiterated his friendship for Tommy. Gave us a beautiful intimate image of two men presumably in love. Not a "caught" moment from a pap or a fan with no boundaries, but an image that he owns and is proud of. #Realness And I'm not saying that this is all cold strategy. It's Adam being himself-- unapologetic and smart and very, very in-tune with himself and with his relationship with his fans. It's Adam being open, but on his own terms. Pretty damn awesome. Yep!! It's fucking awesome. I didn't have a chance to read what Q3 had said until long after we'd been flailing about the pic all day. It was so funny reading the early part of the thread thinking, "Okay, when's the picture going to hit??" New page, oh dang, more discussion Q102 poll (not that it wasn't interesting ), but there was definitely a feeling of idle chit chat then WHAM!! Hee!! I was thinking exactly this as I read Q3's post and ruminating on what an interesting step he took today, on his own terms. It wasn't just them walking down the street and getting photographed by random paps, but an actual declaration. A photo of his boyfriend, on his lap, heads touching, his left hand grasping Sauli's arm tight. So sweet.  <=== happy tears Who me, ratting myself out on Twitter, Aspen??   You can run, but you can't hide, Susie. I may not be a ninja, but I know where I can find lots of them. With that threat, I am going to bed. I'll catch up on what I missed in the morning. I know that I might start a major storm here, but I have this awkward feeling about this relationship. Maybe it's because Sauli doesn't communicate in any way about his feelings for Adam except just being there. Hope that he will some time soon acknowledge that the feelings are mutual, rather then Adam's one- sided expressions of love! I'm pretty sure most of us have been in these kind of relationships some time in our lives - I can't have been the only one! Be kind everyone

Maybe it's because Sauli doesn't communicate in any way about his feelings for Adam except just being there. How do you think Adam knows the word rakastan? Pretty sure because Sauli communicated his feelings to Adam... |

outlawbooster I hear what you are saying, but for me today's photo of Adam and Sauli WAS the statement that they BOTH made to the world about their feelings for each other and their relationship. NoAngel's post back a page or two summed it up beautifully. Adam and Sauli posted this photo out to the world with knowledge and understanding of what they were saying. I find this photo mesmerising - it is equal parts of fierce, loving, tender, committed, possessive (on both sides), stunningly beautiful and above all a STATEMENT. For me it says - 'welcome to us - we are!'. This, i feel, is their confirmation and 'official' announcement of their joy. They don't have to say 'words' to make their intent understood. YMMVH Posting again cos it's so awesome
