WSJO (104.9 FM, "SOJO 104.9") is a commercial radio station whose transmitter is located in Egg Harbor City, 20 miles northwest of Atlantic City. WSJO airs a hot adult contemporary music format with a Top 40/CHR lean. Although WSJO broadcasts to the Atlantic City area and greater southern New Jersey, its programming originates from studios shared with New Jersey 101.5 in Ewing, New Jersey, outside of its primary coverage area.

Adam Lambert showcased a new love for house on his single "Ghost Town," but the Idol star hasn't abandoned his affinity for powerful balls with the just-released "Underground."

The new Original High cut opens with stark piano chords as Adam details being dangerously in love with your significant other, "When you're gone, when you're gone it's like I'm in one second of time / I'm frozen / When you're gone, when you're gone it's like I lost one half of my mind / Stolen." Boominng synths, finger snaps and trappy snare drums get added to the chorus for an understated, but moving piece of pop.

Adam Lambert’s ‘Underground’ Is an R&B Slow Burn

Adam Lambert has unveiled another track from The Original High, and it’s very different from the ’90s house-influenced “Ghost Town”. This one’s a moody, piano-driven R&B ballad that builds.

“Underground” is about the feeling of missing someone every time they leave the room, with lines like “When you’re gone it’s like I’m one second in time / I’m frozen.” Adam sings of being lost without his love, and not feeling complete until they return: “I look at myself and I don’t know / How I’m stuck to ya like Velcro / Can’t rip you off and go solo.”

It’s a less-than-healthy, codependent, obsessive sort of infatuation, but one that most of us have felt at one time or another. Max Martin and Shellback co-produced the dark track.

In keeping with the theme of Lambert’s album title, substance references abound here, and love is the drug: “I’m hooked I can’t cut ya off / In my blood I’m gonna say it now“. Synths and finger-snaps add an intensity to Lambert’s escalating fervor. You can listen to the track above.
