I think the picture was Adam and Sauli's joint public statement. They are a couple so I am sure they both made the decision to release the picture. I do not think Adam is going to talk to much about it.

I hope no one wants Sauli to leap up on Oprah's couch and loudly proclaim his great love for Adam - the ridiculous Tom Cruise way. hee.

Love this story, kathleenpf. You and your hubby sound like the yin and the yang.

I hardly think Sauli isn't chatty though. Riiukka was saying how hard it is to translate because he and Katri talk so fast and use so many words that it's hard to keep up. His personality is as bubbly and effusive as it can be in those Tutka vids.

Here's what I think (someone touched upon it earlier and Jojo did a very nice job explaining cultural differences). Because I worked in a hotel that catered to many famous, particularly music- and movie-industry people, I saw A LOT of dating/hooking up/relationship drama. That's one of the reasons this story touches me as so sweet because I have seen the "groupies," "having one in every port," "girl of the week," situations. This is obviously the real deal for Adam and it's freaking adorable.

However, this puts Sauli in a VERY difficult position. If anyone has dated someone who is older/richer/more established in his or her career/connected, etc., you know it puts you on very tenuous footing with the public (if they are a public figure), or the world in which you live and work. There are going to be lame accusations of, "Arm candy," "Fame whore," "Gold digger," etc., etc. from people who have no clue about the dynamic of your relationship.

Now, I knew rock stars who adored their wives (who very often did not look like you would expect them too) and from my observation, were very loyal and often the wives were the anchor for this person. And there were gorgeous 21-year-old groupies, who were sure they could seduce the 45-year-old rocker away and would inevitably say, "OMG, I can't believe he's with her!" And they would make it their life's mission to steal them away. It's a bizarre world where the person at the nucleus is being swarmed by offers and temptation and wild energy. To have a safe, quiet place in the eye of the storm is invaluable, I think.

Sauli is doing his own thing. From all pictures we've seen, Adam's family, friends and, of course, Adam, adore him. He handles the pressure with grace and a smile and he doesn't need to make any public declarations; not to mention, he's not in a place to. Is he supposed to get a Twitter account just to broadcast his feelings? Or do an !exclusive! interview to announce what is more than obvious in any picture of the two of them? (From what we've heard) Adam's relationship Drake could not survive this and Adam, who has already been candid about his struggles to find love, knew that the more successful he became, the more difficult it was going to be to find someone who could handle all the residual fallout. It really seems like he has found that person. At least for now, and that's all anyone is guaranteed.
