In an interview with MSN in late April, Gaga said, "'Judas' is a metaphor and an analogy about forgiveness and betrayal and things that haunt you in your life and how I believe that it's the darkness in your life that ultimately shines and illuminates the greater light that you have upon you." On Wednesday and then Thursday, Gaga sent out provocative messages over Twitter, saying, "THE JUDAS KISS: a betrayal of a prophecy fulfilled?" and "The Cultural Baptism cannot be stopped." Welcome, pemd. :D I guess I'm not that deep because I don't have a clue what these quotes mean.

The one benefit I can see for cycling out band members from time to time, or a least using different people very occasionally for different gigs, is if it brings in a new flavor or a higher skill level musically/technically. I'd love if all of Adam's band members were able to easily riff/improvise with him organically, or play a new encore with very little rehearsal if Adam feels so moved. Not saying that his current band members can't/don't do this, or can't get better/tighter/more flexible with time. It's just that I've seen some other bands/musicians do it with a little more ease. Also, I'd love to see if when he has the budget, he get's backup singers, as this would also allow him more flexibility and experimentation on stage. ETA: Lol jinx on the band members midwifespal. Rabbitrabbit, That's my secret wish too. I am really fond of all the musicians but would love to see what would happen with some seasoned jam/bue/jazz guys. And a big YES to back up vocalists. I remember being surprised in one interview with Monte where he described the WLL FS experience and he was saying " We were actually improvising right in front of a live audience!" like it was some novel idea and I was actually shocked. I think that song is why love Zac's playing so much. He was so tuned into what Adam was doing and really helped give it shape and power to match that insane vocal. OK now I feel mean. I think the bands great, I just wanted to say I think Iget where you're coming from. LOL! You are not being mean at all. I loved Zac's playing in FS, too. I think Cam is very technical and a self-described control freak. Not very conducive to improvisation. I love what she does with Uh Huh Her and I think she is a great song writer. As for Monte, I think his surprise might come from the fact that he has played with Madonna for such a long time. She always has huge productions that are planned to the last detail. I have never been to a Madonna concert but I doubt they improvise much. <-- This is a total guess, though. Feel free to correct me. LOL! Btw, my favorite part of the concerts have almost always been the encores where Adam improvised, so I can definitely get behind more of that.

Just logged on and have a lot of catching up to do, but gotta say, I love the GREEN theme! So pretty... my favorite color... :D :D :D :D :D ;D As for this: I kind of like the thought that there is karma for that really awkward Adam-Randy meeting -- Ring of Fire week. Hopefully Gaga will be more open-minded than Randy Travis was. Yeah. Randy's pissy, WTF face is not a memory I savor from Idol. But it was damn awesome how gracious Adam was to his face, and then melted the stage with a performance that was so far away from Randy's "country" that it may as well have been from a distant galaxy. 8-) Okay, off to catch up... I kept thinking about the conversation those two had while watching Adam at the Ryman last summer. ;D Wonder what Randy Travis thought about Adam performing there? hehe

My favorite part about that whole Randy Travis meeting is that a little over a year later, Adam played a SOLD OUT show at The Ryman in Nashville!

Yes! Yes! Yes! And of course, FS WLL! That's why I want the backing tracks gone. Q3, I think he can do modern Pop songs without backing tracks if he has enough musicians. I don't want the songs, in a live concert, to sound like the album. I want them to sound Live. Pretty sure P!NK did not use backing tracks, when I saw her and I know Prince didn't use them 2 weeks ago. Gaga, yes! IMO, she overuses them and I'm sure Katy Perry has to use them for most of her songs too. But I really hope Adam #2 sounds nothing like Katy Perry's Pop tunes. I agree about Zac. I love Cam and really love Uh Huh Her. But without Zac, I don't think FS WLL could have happened.
