I got my Blu-Ray version of GNT. I only purchased one copy. I planned to watch it today, but this is the first time I have bought only one copy and I am torn about opening it. I have had a blu-ray player for months, but have GNT is the first product I have bought for this device. I initially bought the blu-ray player so that I could watch movies from Netflix.
I will decide tomorrow.

Yeah, didn't Monte say in some interview a while back that he was writing/submitting songs for Adam#2? Maybe Adam rejected them all? If that's the case, again, I go back to my mantra-- I'm here for Adam. If he doesn't feel something is right for him and his career, I hope he always feels fine to do what he thinks is best. Sorry, but it makes no sense for Adam to put something on his record unless it's top-notch and fits his vision. Anyone in the biz should know that. Oh I agree, but at the same time (playing a bit of devil's advocate here), I also feel for Monte. Monty has worked for even more years than Adam, and what has that gotten him? YEARS of backing Madonna hasn't given him much, if any, name recognition and it hasn't made him rich. Backing Adam has given him more name recognition, but any profits on the tour go to Adam. Monty's a contractor. The Citizen Vein stuff is a PARTNERSHIP. Him and Adam. 50/50. Both for the writing and for the performing. Anything they write together for Adam #2 is a partnership. Equal profits for songwriting. If Adam doesn't select Monty's songs, or doesn't want to release Citizen Vein material, Monty can't get any credit or profits. He's just back to being a contractor. No matter how much he may love Adam as a friend, that situation must chafe. Monte is forced to watch the fruits of his labor and creativity swing on the decisions of someone else. Monty can't push anything without Adam. And Adam isn't likely to make decisions based on Monty's desires. If I was Monty's wife, watching my husband's disappointment, I'd probably be frustrated and disappointed too. That said, expressing that frustration on Twitter....bad move.

" I really like Lisa & Monte, and I have no clue what is going on with Monte/Lisa but Lisa needs to stop talking about this on twitter. This is obviously a private matter between Adam & Monte." Just getting here, but it would be nice for Lisa to let Monty and Adam straighten this out, does she think that publicly putting Adam down is going to help resolve any issue he and Monte need to work through ? I would be humiliated if my husband felt he publicly needed to put down my boss/coworker :-[ :-[ :-[ Hope she backs off...Not impressed with her at all at this point >:(

Sigh. Adam is walking a very thin line here, and I feel for him. He has fought hard to get where he is in this cut throat business. Although we have fun here, I'm sure we realize that AFL's life is not all fun and games. And as kind hearted as we assume Adam to be, "business is still business", tough decisions have to made, and maybe people will be hurt, or angry. So be it. If he is to be successful, and maintain longevity, he has to keep his eye on the prize, and do what is best for his career. I don't know how close their friendship is, but I hope they can work this out.

Damn, that was seriously unclassy on Lisa's part, to air all that shit on Twitter. No, she didn't name Adam per se, but it was amply clear that is who she was referring to. And seems that it's because Adam hasn't gone to any of Monte's gigs. Which, IMO, is totally understandable. I know Monte has some fans of his own, but I'd imagine 90% of his audience is Adam-related, and I can just see Monte strumming away onstage while everyone in the crowd stares at Adam whilst taking ~sekrit pics and vids of him and tweeting every eyebrow twitch. I feel bad for Adam, honestly. Can he have more people lay expectations on him? I agree, Lisa owed him an apology and she needs to let Monty fight his own battles, what a mess and to do it in public, I feel second hand embarrassement for her :-/

Bottom line is I am here for Adam. I will support his friends if they have a product that I like, but I don't feel that I owe any debt to them. ^^^^THIS^^^^ And the thing is, is that I personally don't like Monte's 'product'. Yes, i think he is an awesome guitar player and he was an integral part of the dynamic of the GNT, but I have never been a fan of the CV stuff. I can remember kinda wincing when Monte said he would be submitting songs for #2 and thinking ooh forgive me, but I hope they don't make it on. Adam has already fast forwarded Monte's career more in the last year than Madonna did in ten. It has often crossed my mind in this time and wondered how many of Madonna's fans even know who her guitarist's name is? and they probably don't care for that matter. I still love Monte as part of the glamily and do wish him all the best in his personal career as well, but the rest of the steps on the ladder upwards need to be taken by him - if he is hungry enough. IMO & YMMV

I am one of those people with a quick temper, but no one knows it because I learned early in life that it's always best to ruminate on a response before you put it out there. The theory that it's good to "get it out in the open" is not something I agree with. Once something is said, it can't be taken back. That goes for arguments with husbands as well as disagreements with friends and family. Not with hubby, but with others, I will sit down and write a scathing letter, let it sit, then read it and reconsider the next day. I have NEVER sent one, but it makes me feel better to get it out on paper. What was the time diferential between the Lisa tweet and the Hunty tweet? Just curious.
