"[wry laugh] I'm agreeing with everyone else that Adam HAS to make this second album the best damn product possible in order to solidify his career. Pick the best songs, collaborate with the best writers, etc, etc, etc.
However, Monte can KNOW this, ACCEPT this, and yet still be horribly disappointed in it. Life just sucks sometimes. And maybe (b/c after all this is pure speculation), Monte was really excited and anticipating a collaboration on Adam #2 or the upcoming concerts that...just didn't happen. And he's feeling the sting. The songs were wrong, he wasn't "big" enough. Whatever. Even though you might know something is a business decision, doesn't make it hurt less.
The person who Monte is most likely to express his hurt to is his wife, Lisa. And Lisa...tends to run a bit at the mouth. Particularly when she's stressed.
NONE of this should make Adam change his mind about how he thinks best to assemble Adam #2.
It just potentially explains why the rant occurred today. No one is being evil or intentionally hurtful. Nonethess, people are obviously feeling hurt.

I like your compassionate explanation, and ITA except it should NEVER have been done on a public forum, that part is kind of understandable but inexcusable to me (and honestly seems kind of dumb), but hey, we are all human.... :
