OT: saw that both Tove Lo and The Darkness (separately) will be performing in Philly in Oct to a 1000 seat venue. Adam could do that too with TOH but it would be the same 1000 fans who fly around for him and have been with him since GNT. I am curious - what is your point, happycat?

Pretty impressive numbers. Related to Adam in that they share the same management. lol..It's amazing what being an international star who tours will do. (if mods think not Adam related enough..please delete).

I know nothing about rap music or the celebrities who perform it. It irritates me so much I avoid it so I can make no comment about the quality of different rappers. However, I DO know Bohemian Rhapsody. Kanye butchered it. Maybe his delivery style is perfect for rap, and if he had reenvisioned Bo Rhap as a Bo Rap version, it may have been genius to rap aficionados. But to attempt to perform it in its original form? Not smart. Not enjoyable. Just NOT. I think Rosanne Barr, in her day, was a very funny comedian. Her TV show was not my taste, but, I know many people in the field respected her. I have no idea why she ever accepted the offer to sing the National Anthem for a sporting event. She was a comedian, not a singer. Her rendition was not only horrendous, but also disrespectful. Should I have gone easy on her out of respect for her talent as a comedian? I don't think so. IMO, Kanye's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody was akin to Barr's version of the National Anthem. Terrible, and disrespectful to the rock fans at Glastonbury. I see nothing wrong or cruel with saying that. LOL----the crowd certainly seemed into it. Not a Kanye fan--at all--but this is what I would expect from Kanye West on this song.

I've seen posts about Adam touring, why isn't he touring now etc. I brought it over becaue of the Rufus/Darkness and Tove Lo thing made me think of Adam. He could obviously fill that venue easily but my guess - based on nothing - was that he would want bigger venues and amass more and new fans. Um I guess I have no point, nica. Sorry. I always post and no one ever comments unless they object. Can a mod please pm me on how to delete my account? Happy to go back to lurking.

I think Adam's critique of that horrific performance was quite polite, gentlemanly and mild.

midwifespal - interesting but I'm afraid you've over-intellectualized that horrific performance - there was nothing redeeming about it imo. I strongly doubt he was making any "police violence in the USA" point at a festival in the UK. I wonder if his "greatest rock singer" statement was an attempt to mock the petition but I know his attempt at singing was totally disrespectful to the song and to the audience... I agree with you, Nica, though I don't really think Kanye was even trying to be disrespectful, I think it was probably a legitimate attempt to perform a classic song, but he just isn't as good a singer as he thinks he is. The audience were lapping it up, but other than Kanye fans, who love everything he does, there were probably a load of people who were off their tits. I know many people who go to Glasto to get totally wrecked, they love everything they see, though can't remember most of it afterwards.
