Does anyone have Spotify stats for the "current chart week"? You realize these are worldwide streaming numbers not just US so that won't all affect the US chart. As far as I know we don't yet have any US specific Spotify numbers. We haven't gotten any chart detail numbers leaked from Soundscan either as the mj poster who was getting them hasn't gotten any from her source.

I am going to post the leaders and starters from Pop for today's report to illustrate why assuming trouble because of a large negative is a false conclusion.
SONG CHARTS : LEADERS Mediabase ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town Warner Bros. lw: Jul 2 - Jul 8 TW: Jul 9 - Jul 15 Station Market Format TW lw Move ovn am mid pm eve Aud KFRH-FM Las Vegas Top 40 68 66 2 17 12 13 12 14 0.184 KVLY-FM McAllen Top 40 62 32 30 19 9 13 10 11 0.447 KRCK-FM Palm Springs, CATop 40 60 59 1 13 10 13 10 14 0.11 WVYB-FM Daytona Beach Top 40 52 50 2 23 9 4 6 10 0.08 KRQQ-FM Tucson Top 40 51 42 9 8 7 13 13 10 0.27 WXZO-FM Burlington, VT Top 40 48 42 6 15 8 15 8 2 0.028 WFLY-FM Albany, NY Top 40 46 48 -2 12 8 11 8 7 0.202 WLAN-FM Lancaster Top 40 43 43 13 2 9 10 9 0.287 KLJT-FM Tyler, TX Top 40 41 41 12 6 7 6 10 0.04 WFLC-FM Miami Top 40 40 25 15 13 3 6 8 10 0.328 WNFN-FM Nashville Top 40 40 36 4 11 1 13 11 4 0.078 KSXY-FM Santa Rosa, CA Top 40 40 40 9 7 9 7 8 0.058 KBEA-FM Quad Cities, IA-Top 40 39 41 -2 12 4 7 8 8 0.044 WVHT-FM Norfolk Top 40 39 34 5 14 3 7 4 11 0.094 WNOK-FM Columbia, SC Top 40 39 35 4 10 2 10 9 8 0.119 WYKS-FM Gainesville Top 40 38 40 -2 10 4 8 6 10 0.066 WAEV-FM Savannah, GA Top 40 37 36 1 10 3 8 9 7 0.05 WRVW-FM Nashville Top 40 36 32 4 11 3 7 9 6 0.208 KDLW-FM Albuquerque Top 40 35 29 6 6 7 8 5 9 0.035 KDUK-FM Eugene, OR Top 40 35 35 6 7 8 7 7 0.085
SONG CHARTS : STARTERS Mediabase ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town Warner Bros. lw: Jul 2 - Jul 8 TW: Jul 9 - Jul 15 Station Market Format TW lw Move ovn am mid pm eve Aud WKSZ-FM Appleton, WI Top 40 3 3 2 1 0.011
These 21 stations deliver a net increase of 80 spins. But there are 167 stations spinning GT so plenty of place for even small corrections to add up. But usually when we have a big negative we see more minuses on the leader board. The fact that we don't counteracts the idea that this is some huge backward step for the song.
Based on the fact that a week ago we had a +60 and today we had a -62 I would be more inclined to speculate that there was a mid week syndicated program spin of some kind that contributed to the +60 and that it wasn't repeated this Wednesday.
2 weeks ago the lowest station on the leader board was at 30 today the bottom is at 35. Also it is important to note that the big market stations are not the lead spinners. They are not showing on the leader board. I think this indicates that the song is rising more organically as people are responding to it rather than having a few big stations pushing it up hill. I think having the song rise slowly is actually better in the long run for Adam then having a song shoot up the chart and then fall quickly.

Good job rihannsu Still thinking though that the Miami station will show a drop in spins as they were spinning like crazy in the ticket giveaways. If that doesn't materialize, I will be thrilled!

Hard to tear oneself away from all the awesomeness of last night but as I turn to the numbers on a Friday morning, it is time for the weekend game.
We need to hit up the Saturday nIght shows to keep up the spins and if they do grow the way they are, I think GT will be 26 this week. Tove Lo and The Weekend should go recurrent. Nicki Minaj has already dropped below.
There are two other songs (Snake and M5) that are not eligible to go recurrent yet (The Snake does Aug 16) but the way they are dropping, I think GT could go to 24 the following week.
Then Jason goes recurrent Aug 2nd and who knows what is happening with Sia as her song is dropping as are the two stalwarts of Walk the Moon and See You Again. The latter two are so popular that it might take awhile before they go below 10. However, when all that dust settles, if GT (that is a big if) does not get passed, that is #20 Wow. Pretty heady. Hope it happens.
