I'm sorry that you felt people were being a little harsh. I think they did not mean it that way. And asking questions is what you are supposed to do if you need answers (although we might not know the answer, either). I appreciate all of you. You can't know how awful and brutal the fights on the Numbers Thread was in the Trespassing Era!! We will try to be more diplomatic.

Just reminding everyone that being diplomatic is especially important when we feel a vulnerability for GT - especially after it seemed like it was breaking out and when you haven't had experience with how these things go.

Posting the Pop leaders and starters to show the best evidence I have that the song is not done. When a song has truly peaked then you would expect the leader board to show overall negatives but that is not the case here. There are 5 double digit increases and none of the 7 negatives are more than a 1 spin a day adjustment. Today's negative is clearly due to the lost SNOL spin and maybe even an OHP spin since I don't think we know whether he got 2 spins last night there or not so there is absolutely nothing unusual in last nights numbers.

In the top 5 most requested songs last week Adam was #3 www.saturdaynightonline.com/media/play/top-5-most-requested-26226236/Chart of this week isn't up yet, but not seeing much tweets doesn't mean there are no tweets. The tweets are so much for this show that they can't show you all tweets. I do think that other fan bases have more maniacs in there that tweet over 200 times and that might gets them higher, but we did have a lot of tweets and re-tweets last night again.

Sorry folks for posting the doom and gloom. When I was posting it I thought that was a bit harsh and went back and crossed out the doom part thinking that leaving it in there but crossed out would show a bit of lightheartedness but well, it's the internet and if only you could read my mind.
When I did log in this morning, amid watching the voice, I saw posts on spin loss and I just thru up my hands in the air "what spin loss, what spin loss?" and then went binge looking for what do you mean. I know those bullet+ and things are supposed to indicate direction but I've got to be hands on and I'll let others handle the "conventional wisdom".
I think now, after a few explanations by a very patient Rihannsu, that knowing where the numbers come from and how they are figured is calming for me. And I hoped she'd pull out the leaders/starters numbers and tell us whether they were still good, and yeah she did.
But anyway, back to lost spins. I like to look at the numbers and jump to my own conclusions valid or often not. For example POP today gave us a -36 to start with. Well that's just today's (or really yesterday's spins) actual number of spins during the day compared to the actual number of spins reported 7 days ago. So thats 532 spins by my chart compared to 568 spins for a -36 difference. But I can look back 2 weeks ago and the spins on Sunday the 19th were 462 so that's a 70 spin increase over two weeks for that day and that's after losing a spin on the syndicated shows this week.
Then the other negative number is -142 for the bullet+. That reflects that yesterday the "move" for the week was 235 and today it dropped to 93 and yes that daily bullet+ has been negative 4 of the 7 days but that's because it had set sky high expectations at the beginning of the week with a move of 469. But again if we go back two weeks then we match that move of 96.
So what I conclude is that the afterburners, promo etc were turned on starting July 22th for about a four or five day burst till the 27th. And didn't that also coincide with the itunes Hot Tracks placement and sales numbers? It did coincide with higher AI so maybe promo for specific stations or better schedule? And it might be a test case of what type or how much of advertising will increase sales.
Whatever fueled it, spins for GT increased over the two weeks by 20% from 2649 spins to 3173 weekly spins.
Now I'm going to throw a bit of my own gloom out and say that tomorrow is going to be bad, very bad. We are going to see another -40 day pulling our weekly increase (move) all the way down to the low 50s as that syndicated spin loss shows it's day 2 figures. So it's going to be those mid-week spins that will tell us which way the wind is blowing. And crossing our fingers that WB liked that itunes spike and thinks they know a way that will bring it up again.

I won't rush to get up and check the numbers! LOL What was most confusing for me was that the 18 adds were already strongly spinning so I was down the rabbit hole thinking this bump might get support and even accelerate when those spins started. We were SO giddy last week weren't we?

Ok, seeing some doom and gloom expressed but I'm not seeing it when looking at my charts. Today's negative numbers are all just a one spin loss on syndicated shows so it will probably effect tomorrow's numbers too but the normal radio plays are still doing their job. It's just back on it regular trajectory and that's a bit hard to adjust to after the afterburners were turned on for a bit last week. THIS!! ^^^^^ Tuesday will be the first day we will have that BIG weekend. and last Monday's big update gone! Remember, the loss of spins is not a one day loss. It is the rolling 7 days! I really think it has a few more positions to go up in the next few weeks. It just picked up some good spinners! StL is nothing to sneeze at and they jumped right in! SIRIUS is spinning and it's actually moved a spot a day, the past 4 days. I think GT has life on Top 40 still Tuesday will tell the story! I expect + spins and +bullet. If I am wrong, I might be willing to concede that GT has peaked at #25. But I am not there yet!

Sirius has been hesitant! TBH, their playlist is weird! But once they get a song, they really latch onto it FOREVER!! lambertmusic411: US: @adamlambert’s #GhostTown #17 on Hot AC radio chart (increased spins) #26 on Pop (lost several syndicated spins) t.co/OWZfYFhiHr
