I am skipping this, not interested in Jim or James..  Ahh but there are a lot of references to Adam and Adam "being over" Durbin. I've been out of the loop in the posts lately, but I did wonder what ATOP peeps were thinking about the Durbs. He seems like a nice kid, but I'm glad that he didn't make it even as far as Adam because his singing seems just not nearly as "disciplined" or controlled as Adam's--like Cassie said--to me. I want Jim and all these others to STOP trying to start a fight. Adam probably should have said the "I'm over it" comment a bit more clearly and tactfully to mean that the comparisons are getting old (not as some sort of put-down to a kid just starting out in the music biz, which I'm sure he didn't mean). But this James kid also needs to learn grace under pressure with the media. Glad that now the comparisons will probably stop because he's not on the show any more, but I do wish him well though I don't expect his plan to bring hair metal back to succeed. Eagerly awaiting Adam #2, the album which will bring him further into mainstream popularity! Whew, 2 posts in one day! |

I really hope we get vids from the Russian concert. I am in touch with a Russion on twitter and she is going to the concert and is video taping it..I asked her if she'll put the vids on YT and she said she'll share them..don't know if she means YT or directly on twitter Thanks, Lindy! You are always such a terrific source of information and good humor...  |

All of the hilarious tweets and comments today regarding "the wedding" were awesome! So much fun!!! I love this fandom. Still LOLing! Can anyone let me in on the fight that Neil & Adam had over Thanksgiving? I don't know that story. They where driving up to San Francisco and Neil I think was not following Adam's directions got into a big fight and some blows where thrown and Neil lost apparently. Maybe someone can add to this its been a while since the blog was up and this was written back in Jan 2009 just before idol. Neil's version is pretty funny. I always wonder how they got through 6 months on tour. they were not physical blows. definitely not. neil credited adam with winning the battle. score 1 for adam. I believe the uncle's response shown above was posted on the page with the fight. |

I've deleted the news link to the MTV clip. I have no interest in Durbin and thus have only glanced at multiple posts about him on this thread. I thought a media item about Adam that might attract wider attn was noteworthy. I can't delete quotes of the link I posted-I leave that call to others. Awww ... mika, I'm sorry. Didn't mean for you to delete the interview. Anything Adam related is of interest. I am totally zen, just didn't read and all was well. I know my limits.  |

Surprisingly enough, I was the one with the mild shot across the bow and he was the one reducing me to splinters. So it turned into us trading blows for the sole purpose of cutting the deepest. He totally won, which sucked |

Honestly, I think the best thing we can do if Adam keeps coming up in articles during Durbin's press tour is to not even click links to them, and avoid getting into some kind of a pissing match with Durbinators in the comments. It gains Adam nothing, our time would be better spent voting on Billboard and hearteyeing over pics. |

TY for this! I luv Neil's sense of humor, and that entry about their ride to uncle's house was as I remembered. Yeah! Luv the part where he had to admit Adam won. They are both very quick witted, like their Dad. ;D |

Unfortunately, the phrase "I'm over it" has a wide array of connotations. It can mean anything from harmlessly moving from one interest to another to feeling superior to what you are leaving behind to painful rejection. The pot stirrers use the ambiguity of the phrase to imply whatever level of meaning best meets their individual agendas. Usually Adam is very careful with the precision of language he chooses, but in this case, not so much. Likely, he meant it very mildly, as in the first example. However, personally, if someone who sang my iconic song, ACIGC, right off the bat and dressed here and there as if he were somehow trying to channel me, who was touted as having hit notes never heard before on the idol stage, and who was praised for his worst performances, and even though he was obviously nowhere in my league was constantly being compared to me, and then I had to answer questions about that comparison, even by Michelle Collins, for heavens sake, it would get old, and I'd be over it, too. You might even say I was over it. ;D Of course, lucky for all of us, I'm sure Adam is a much better and more gracious person than I am.  |
