But it's really easy for the station to work that in throughout the day each time they play the song. He named the album and talked about it in his introduction of Adam and they plugged the tour in January. Yeah...I went back and watched it again and he did do that. I guess I was turned off by his abruptness and making it hard for Adam to finish a thought.

i didn't think that interview was bad at all. It just was what it was. They covered a lot of stuff in a short period of time and everything about Adam was very complimentary. I get not liking the style of it but listen again, its not as bad a s you guys think.

Wellllllll, it's getting there. The beginning is at the very bottom of Adam's usable range. He just doesn't have much power there. If he tried to sing any louder, his voice would crack. There is a flip he has to make technically to produce the C3-F3 "YOU WANT to know THE TRUTH but you CAN'T take IT, SO I GIVE YOU LIES, I GIVE YOU LIE ie ies." And he has to approach the mic differently as well. It sounded stronger last night, but I think it will continue to improve. The falsetto still is giving him problems. Those notes ain't that high for Adam. He easily sings the same notes later, in full voice. I guess he is opting for the falsetto for its fragile, tenuous tone? The problem is he needs to use a different technique to support it and a different muscle adjustment to hit the pitch accurately. Different from what he uses to sing either full voice or head voice. He is still working that out, and as a result, he is sometimes flat at the top of the falsetto. Better, but not yet stellar. Give him a couple more performances. Sorry I cannot give him an A+ on that performance. It is interesting, tho', to hear him working on new techniques, new challenges. And emotionally, he nailed it! Thanks Cassie. I guess I was meaning emotionally because I thought the performance made a really powerful statement. All the vocal technique stuff I leave up to you and others here. Absolutely agree! That was a very powerful, moving rendition. I love the song and it is so appropo to Adam and the challenges he faces. He is a great interpreter of songs. One of the many things I love about him.

Just listened to Paul Henry audio - and yes - the guy is rude and a total ass. Hope I don't offend any OZ Atop members and/or fans of Mr. Henry - JMHO. Meh. Typical journalist not letting the subject of the interview finish his thoughts. I didn't hear it as rude, but just pushy, trying to cram in as much as possible. Adam handled it with his usual grace. Agree Adam was his usual gracious self.

As much as I love this new album, I'm not as happy about Adam backing off and singing quieter and more restrained. I love his big voice and miss it on most of this album. I know it's hard to sing that way for a whole concert but GNT was out of this world. I also know he did it because it would be more radio friendly and it's worked, but I miss his full voice.
